There are versions around the web in .pdf format if you know where to look. I've got one for my '88 saved to disc.

I have one as well, but I hear the 1989 manual is much better. Also, is the.pdf version a scanned version of the original one? Thanks.

OK, I found the 1988 version but it looks like it's not a "real" manual. It looks like it's a 3rd party manual for the Cherokees.

If I can find a good FSM for the 1989 Cherokee's I'll cut the spine off and scan all the images.

IIRC aren't the FSM's (hardbound books) a all-in-one format covering YJ's, XJ's, and MJ's :dunno: ? At least thats all i have been able to find.

Are you running mudflaps, Pete?

I'm not, and it's not legal. I'm not worrying.

A mudflap ticket is whole different animal, compared to copyright infringement.

I guess I live life on the edge.

no there are two diff MJ ones that are just for MJs IIRC. one for body and one for mech stuff. we had them at the jeep dealer i use to work for. they were both paperbacks. i tried to get them off of them but they wouldnt give them to me. they said they still needed them just incase. maybe i should repay them a visit.

They're front tire flaps from the big trucks. Cost me a pretty penny, but I couldn't pass up the chance to have "Peterbilt" on the back of the truck that, uh, I built. :D
