Pete M
Or you can go with an Electrac and have a button. :D
DirtyComanche
Electrac? Aren't those discontinued? Isn't it the eaton E-locker that is still around? OX don't have the best reputation. Not many people have them - at least as I see it.
jtdesigns
Eaton bought Truetrac's stock, so I'm thinking the E-locker might could be the same thing.
DirtyComanche
No, the electrac is no more. I thought about it. A friend of mine had one last year - his sponsor gave it to him simply because it was old stock and he wanted a selectable for the rear. It failed shortly after, as apparently was typical of the design. The only saving grace of them was that they'd fail to be like a truetrac, so it actually didn't work TOO bad... His sponser coughed up a detroit softlocker (ie, a detroit locker) as the replacement. Or, so I believe.
pingpong
If it was me.. I would go with the ARB. 2 ppl in my local club were/are running the OX. Both of them had problems with the cable sliding, and not engaging the locker. Both of them converted the cable actuation to small air cylinders. :dunno: So if they would have started with an ARB... they never would have been denied on obstacles when their lockers failed. ( Chad's failed on Helicopter Pad (tellico) and he was in a pretty bad spot)
comanche13
hm yeah ok i just don't want a locker i want a selecable locker. i was told the arb lockers arent good for mud cause they can get clogged easy.
Pete M
The locker is inside of the differential, it can't get mud in it.
comanche13
i ment the lines that go to the locker also theres not a whole lot of room for a compressor
Hawk
i ment the lines that go to the locker also theres not a whole lot of room for a compressor Run it off a CO2 bottle. If installed correctly, they should hardly use ANY air. Ask your installer about running it off a bottle. Also, when you get the ARB, spend the extra $50 or so and get the HD air line. It's a tough rubber line with a metal fitting at the end, so you don't have a rinky little blue line running down there.
DirtyComanche
There's tons of underhood room for a compressor.
