Going to trim my fenders today and wanted to know what the best tool for doing it is. I have a saber saw with metal blades, a 4" HF angle grinder with metal cutoff discs. Which one will work best for this?

it all depends on what you feel comfortable using. i would use a sawz-all. but... i would defiantly use my die-grinder with a blade on it for small places with little room behind to cut.

I used an air nibbler to cut away at my sheet metal. worked like a charm.

I hate nibblers. An air body saw with a good blade works well for making it pretty. But I can do pretty decent with an angle grinder... You don't want to see my sawzall work though.

The only problem I see with using a Sawzal is it pushes and pulls the metal.... which can make it distort and hard to manage. I would use the cutoff wheel. Place tabe alng where you want to cut.. and use that as a guide.

My personal favorite way to cut fenders is the Plasma.. followed by cleaning up the edge with a grinder

well a good blade and good pressure on the metal will solve that problem... unless you have one of them cordless ones
