Pete M Posted June 28, 2006 Share Posted June 28, 2006 Depending on the drivetrains involved, only the interior, doors, axles, suspension, and front fenders may interchange. The axles may have a better gear ratio, but that depends on the truck you buy. I unknowingly bought an 86 with the 2.8L for parts and just about nothing can be used on my 88. Eagle Posted June 29, 2006 Share Posted June 29, 2006 The fenders are the same. The header panel should be the same as an '88. The different header panel was when Chrysler changed the grill to make the trim strip above it an integral part of the grille rather than a separate strip. I can use the space to get rid of some of the grainyness if you like it otherwise.
