missing bed

any pics, or post re: bed removal? call me odd, but i've always fancied the utilitarian look of a flatbed, or just a tool boxed pickup.

i don't necessarily need the bed, so who knows....

Do all the years have a different style frame? Like how the X in the frame is different in the last pic.

Not sure. Could be a longbed/shortbed thing. I notice that the first 2 have the rear shackle a bit in front of the end of the frame and the last one is right at the end of the frame. I'll run over to mine and see what's up.

Just take into consideration once the bed comes off you'll need to think about what your going to do with the gas tank.

Just take into consideration once the bed comes off you'll need to think about what your going to do with the gas tank.

 

To be more precise, the gas tank is mounted to the bed, not the frame.

Any comanche specific part is in very high demand..even such simple things like emblems and side vents, so if you are ever getting rid of anything make sure to ask here first or craigslist it :cheers:

On top of that, bed sides for our trucks are not being made anymore, and not available anywhere. So the only way to fix a rusted out bed is to cut a bunch of small patch panels out of Cherokee fenders and doors, or get a whole bed somewhere. And those are getting harder to find as well.

i try to refrain from any needless disposal of auto parts....someone's always out there in need.

my bed has some slight surface rust, and maybe a ding or two but overall it's in pretty good shape.
