I'm going to need to replace my front springs soon and i am in need of some advice from the Manche Masters. I have a 4 inch lift and am looking for some decent springs at a low price and i basically want to avoid buying somewhere cheap and end up breaking one. just something mostly for DD use with mild wheeling and very little highway. My 86 only had 31x10.5x15 on it the whole time i owned it, i never had any problem either sans the LCA rubbage.

I know better than to jack it by the axle to check the problem, lifting it by the frame is when it happens, soon as i get a few mins i will try unbolting them to see what happens, I'm about 99% sure that thats the problem.Ill report back to yall

Basically, if i go out and put a jack under the whole front end of my truck and lift it up, it will come right off the groung rather than the suspension decompressing and then coming off the ground.

how would i do that? if were to use if for an oil cooler?

it seems to me like the shock is reaching full extension, like maybe whomever lifted the truck did not upgrade the shocks.

Can you tell its nice out? i have a thousand questions because ive been out doin stuff to the MJ all day. Anyway, I finally decided i wanted to get rid of my drop brackets so my first question is what parts will i need to procure after i remove those to keep my 4" lift. my second question is probably a stupid one but here goes, shouldnt there be some upward movement in my suspension? the way my truck sits now, the suspension is maxed out, all the way up. Does anyone have a good pic or write up on how the factory electric fan is installed? I'm looking in the FSM and the elec manual and its not really helping me here. i know alot of guys are puting their fan on a seperate switch but i just want to hook it up the factory way for now so any help here would be GREAT!

Found this hose just hanging there, could this be why my parking brake does litterally nothing to stop/slow my truck from rolling backwards?its the one on the top left and it goes down to the top of the axle, the hose on the right. oh and where does it connect to? Image Not Found

Well, when i started tearing into my parts pig i found these two hoses and I'm not sure what they are for, they go from the radiator to the tranny(aw4), are they part of the heavy duty cooling system? the truck had both cooling fans in it. also if they are a useful part, will they work on a ba-10/5? its the two smaller ones at the top and bottom of the rad Image Not Found here they are running from the right Image Not Found pic from the front of the two running to the back, they go right ointo the side of the tranny pic of my DD setup Image Not Found

well, i figured out where the number 2 bracket goes, i reversed them :dunce: and all the holes lines right up, i thought they were supposed to point out toward the front of the truck because the drivers side bracket lined up perfectly with some 13mm bolt but nothing on the passanger side, but when i flipped them they lined up with 2 holes on the frame, the number one brackets i don't even have i just needed to know if there were important or if there were to adapt some other option i don't have and the other part in the back, there isnt a hole that goes all the way through thats why i asked if there was supposed to be a captive nut. I do like those hi country ones, one day ill get the ones with the d ring mounts, but until then.... Thanks Erik

sooo nobody has factory ones anymore? i don't have the dough to buy some aftermarket ones right now and i have some stuff that needs to be uprooted so i want to make sure my hooks are on there as best they can be.

So does anyone actually have a pic of their factory hooks installed? i have a couple of questions, number one is the brackets on the bottom(number 2 in the pic) where do they attach? also the part labled 3, is ther supposed to be a captive nut from the factory in the frame to fasten it to? and what are the brackets lable 1 for?
