Although I can see both sides of the fence on this topic, if you look at what it takes to become a citizen of the U.S., it clearly states, well you can read it. Naturalization Naturalization is the process by which U.S. citizenship is conferred upon a foreign citizen or national after he or she fulfills the requirements established by Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). The general requirements for administrative naturalization include: - a period of continuous residence and physical presence in the United States; - residence in a particular USCIS District prior to filing; - an ability to read, write, and speak English; - a knowledge and understanding of U.S. history and government; - good moral character; - attachment to the principles of the U.S. Constitution; and, favorable disposition toward the United States. I've been in the service for over 20 years and all over the world and have picked up phrases to get what I needed while visiting foriegn lands, but I've never been to one yet were a large portion of the people did not speak english due to the need to communicate i.e. SELL me something.

No one hacked his account. What Bill did was linked pictures, not his own, from a photo hosting site without the owners permission. The owner of those pictures, changed the photos to what you see. Although Bill may be a great guy, he should have used his own photos or asked permission from the owner.

Death wobble and alignment issue
mfpdm replied to JOMJ87's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I had my new tires balanced twice as well on two different types of balancers. My problem was that I kept throwing the weights off, which a 65 mph scares the hell out of you when it hits the fender then shoots out and hits the car next to you. I finally solved that problem with wheel balancers from here. http://www.centramatic.com/ -
Keep your eye on craigslist. I've noticed that alot of people have been selling off tires with very few miles on them around here. I think the gas prices last month hit alot of those massive SUV's hard in the pocket :brows: I lucked out last year getting my 33X12.5 FC II's from craigslist. They were brand new, never mounted. Guy bought them then traded his truck before he put them on. Saved around $250. :D

I looked at the pro's and con's of doing this and the pro's out weight the con's for the price. I was looking at getting both axles regeared, not that I could not do it, I just feel better knowing someone that does it daily and some kind of warranty, would give me piece of mind. That would have cost in the $1000-1200 range for parts and labor. That alone paid for the front axle which has the gear I want and a locker and is stronger than what I have. I would have went with a locker in the rear at least, and as stated above would have cost around $800. For $200 more I got a stronger axle in the rear, selectable locker, and disc brake upgrade. The t-case I have was going to get a SYE and new TW drive shaft which is around $500-600 which for $100 more I have a much stronger t-case with an SYE from the factory and a 4:1 crawl ratio. If you add up all that up, I'm pretty sure that I fell under that price going this route. As far as the D44 front not being too strong, There was a good article on the ROF that explained the story on them very well and made up my mind on it. I don't plan on hardcore wheeling cause this is my DD, however I do think this set up is very capable if I find myself with the urge to get a little wild. I did have shipping cost from CA to VA which almost put this in the bad deal range, but I inflated it by adding $5000 worth of insurance and over estimating the size and weight(will know better next time). This is what really made up my mind. A direct bolt in affair. The minor mods I will have to do are hook up switches and pumps for the lockers($150-200 in parts), which I will be able to select each one independently or both together and at any 4wd range or 2wd(rear), being careful of speed. The speedo calibrator I already have will work with the new t-case. And I will probably end up having TW shafts made up for front and rear, even though I could use mine with minor mods.

That's my Harbor Freight special. :P It comes in handy for my trips to Home Depot. Plus not all of us have a big @ss garage like you. :D

The guy I bought them from has another set and t-case for pretty much the same price if your really interested. How much? J/K :jump:
-
:nanner: I was hoping for mine to be like that, as the rest of the mj was rust free. No such luck. Nice

Had a brief thought of how to put them on the MJ, then put that though out of my head. Far as the price, all for $2700, which is the best price I have found after about three months looking. I first had a set of axles lined up for $3500, but that deal fell through, which work out for the best. :brows: I bought the axles for a $1000 a piece and then the guy had to say, "oh by the way, I have a t-case for an additional $700" :deal: . I was hooked.

The UPS man was my best friend today. He brought me my new toys for my TJ. 04 Rubi D44's front and rear. 04 Rubi t-case. Now I just have to find time to get them in. :brows:

That's the one I posted in the link earlier in this thread. What projects have you done with it? According to the discription and comanche-man22's post it uses both. That's why I was considering it as it does both and is the highest amperage for a 110v system. I would go with a 220V but I like the thought of being able to take it anywhere and plug it in. :brows:

Speaking of Home Depot and welders, I was kicking the thought around about getting one of these. http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100093231 Would this be a good deal and would it be what JeeperJohn is looking for in a basic welder?

Awesome job! The only thing I see is that you may consider another nut on there to lock the tube once you get it at the right lenght. This will prevent the RE joints from getting cockeyed in the mount bracket. Just my .02's.

Only when I have a good day at the JY. :D If you haven't caught it by now, he's referring to me. :wavey: -
Well I finally did it. I went to the JY today and came home with nothing. :clapping: However, I'm thinking of going back and getting these. These are 86 2dr xj buckets in good condition with no major rips or tears. They are also non-rockers so they wouldn't sit up as high. I don't need them however if someone here would want them, I could go get them. Price would be probably around $50 plus another $50-$60 to ship. Would be flexible on price a little or willing to trade for something. There was something that I noticed about these seats is that they lean back farther then others that I have seen. I couldn't find any adjustment. :dunno: The front of the xj was up higher than the back. I figure if that was an issue that it could be corrected when they are put on the mj brackets.

Holy rusted metal batman! You might want to get that off the truck before it spreads. :redX: J/K :D Nice parts vehicle though and nice job on the expenses.
-
I'll do it before soemone else does; :thwak: MJ doesn't have the same set up. :fool:
-
Is it a single clunk or a series of clunks? Also at what point does it start and stop? Have you check your spring buckets? I had the spring bucket come loose on another vehicle and it would clunk when turning.

A good friend use to say to me when we ended up doing the not so fun stuff at work, "I think of hard work as a free workout" Even thought the one A-pillar cracked were you able to make the other one work? Just wondering seeing how that they were from an 2dr XJ. -
Has anyone here been to one of these or plans on going to this? Thinking of going, but it's about a 3 hour drive. I'm just wondering if it would be worth my time and gas. NOVA Jeepers Swap Meet

Nice work on the bed. Looks like your no stranger to body work. Good luck with your color choice. I still can't decide on one. :dunno:
