I couldn't finish it...too boring. but my point is...what's so special about this? yeah, it's down hill (or down mountain...whichever you prefer). either way....you're not in a 2010 ford van with a 4.6 v8 and an adaptive transmission. that's an easy drive in a jeep...try getting that ford van to slow down down hill, or do better than 45mph up hill. not gonna happen (yes, speaking from experience here).

no. the 84-85 were carbureted...so that was only in the cherokee and cherokee wagoneer.

Hidden Winch Design Proposal
JeepcoMJ replied to 87Warrior's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
nice design! only thing I would add is a bolt-in front brace that will eliminate the use of nuts to bolt the factory front bumper on (tap the steel so all you need is a bolt), and I would make that brace bolt in, and run above the fairlead, in front of the winch. removable so that to remove/repair/inspect the winch, you don't need to pull the whole winch mount subframe. The only issue I have, and it's one that can't be combatted, is the low aproach angle that it will give you. the only option I see to offset that is to move the winch plate up higher, which would mean cutting up the grille, and would defeat the purpose of a hidden winch. this is something I'd love to have on all of my DD comanches. it would get used for utilitarian purposes. keep up the planning! -
nice. would not have noticed that otherwise. I got the a-hole at work today. we're building running engine stands out of IH4300 light duty semis...I stripped one yesterday and put it in the stand, but it needed a new oil pan (dented), and it's supposed to be drained. I didn't drain it, knowing he'd be working on it, and let the fun begin. man, that was a mess. but it finally shut him up.

that appears to be for a renix (87 to 90) 4.0. assuming this is for the one in your signature, I would say yes.

republican here. I want them paid the same. it will give people that are more skilled a fair chance to get a job. I'd also like this whole equal opportunity crap to end. either you're skilled enough to do the job, or you're not. no prerequisites to how many people of various ethnicities must be employed. no potential racial discrimination law suits. you are either skilled to do the job, or you're not. minimum wage is minimum wage. fair wage is fair wage. that is what our country needs to do.

Sex offenders are put on a list that is publicly available. If you want to know where they are located what they look like and what they did google it for your area. And no, they have less rights than an illegal. Everything they do is documented. They have restrictions on wheres they can go, and what kind of phones they can have. They can't even see movies without permission before they complete probation. Thats a terrible argument on the subject and proves that you are I'll informed on the matter. A far as celebrities go...you know a well as I that what they do is wrong, and that having money and friends pays off. It's unfortunate but we have no say in the matter. Illegal immigrants, in order to get a job that pays taxes and issues a part check, must steal someones identity. That is a felony and under law is punishable by prison term and fines. The only reasons that illegal immigrants get off ready is that it's not politically correct to even ask if they are here illegally. A police officer pulling over an illegal immigrant can not under the laws written even ask if they are legal. They can ticket or arrest then under the current situation...which just costs us money. Their very presence here is a detriment to our system of government, but liberals refuse to man up and do what needs to be done for the financial future of our country. Now, I would rather give them a green card and get their dna and prints, and send them out to work like the rest of us then deport them. I have no problem with them being here...my problem is that we have no way of holding them accountable for anything...good or bad
-
on the contrary. they have done something illegal. our society doesn't accept illegality...save from them. doing something illegal makes you a criminal. plain and simple. this is cut and dry, and there is no room for argument. now, if you want to say "we should make it easier for them to get green card, work visa, citizenship, etc." then we can have an argument based on whether or not they are good people. the unfortunate thing is, Mexico doesn't keep a very good criminal record database....so your argument on their personal ethics or capacity for doing good is fairly moot.

I don't think anyone here cares who has what job, so long as they're a citizen...be it natural born, or legally immagrated.
-
worthless plus illegal doesn't change the fact that they are ILLEGALLY HERE. do you go to jail if you steal? yes. do you go to jail if you kill someone? yes. do you go to jail if you steal someone's identity? yes. so why are you defending these people who commit felonies every single day as though they are nothing but a suggestion.

I speak spanish fluently, and I work with illegals. 3 were worthless pieces of $#!&. the information I have on them has been forwarded to immigration. they are lazy, hardly show up to work, hardly work when they're there, and have been caught stealing MY tools, aside from stealing scrap metal from work. it's a shame that I'm doing my duty as an American citizen, and that chances are that no one will take care of these 3 guys at work. I owe 25,000 in medical bills that I am paying off, and still have debt collectors calling me. a border crosser can have the same hernia surgery as I did, and never have to pay a cent. sure, some of them pay taxes...through stolen identities. do you honestly think that that money is being paid in and used to help us out? the government knows EXACTLY who is paying what, and what is being paid under stolen identities. the paperwork is all there, and it's pretty easy to figure out that a resident of WI who pays WI income taxes, homeowners taxes, etc. can not also be doing the same in one or more additional states with a meager middle class income. Frankly, I don't give a damn what people speak. but they need to have the ability to speak english, and read it. every government document should be offered in one language: English. school costs you and me money, it should cost them. I never had my very own spanish translator sitting with me in spanish class, not even in college. I'm at a point with my spanish education that the past 9 classes I've taken were completely spanish spoken...no english allowed. and I got there without handouts, without parents paying for it. handouts teach people they can be weak and use the system. Some people genuinely need help. others are using the system, and screwing over the rest of us. send them accross the border, or even cheaper, put one in the chamber and let loose. it's cheaper, and God knows we could do with some deficit decreasing.

breaking into your vehicle (lost keys)
JeepcoMJ replied to JeepcoMJ's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
lol. a spare hidden key is the best choice, obviously. for someone like me...breaking a window is easy, and costs me nothing. I can replace it with spares I've got lol. -
i thought the longbed chief was the widely available thunder chief?

well. no work. it needs a new harness. I can't find the break in the wiring harness, but there is a wire pulled somewhere, a scanner won't even read the ECU, and i've double and tripple checked all of the wiring, I connected it all correctly. I ended up just buying the car, the owner doesn't want to deal with it. I'll fix it and get good use out of it...this allows me to sell my crown victoria, which is one hell of a positive...i hate that car.
-
I use pb blaster...stuff works fantastic. at work we use Zep....also works fantastic wd-40 will rust out the brake cables on a bicycle faster than you can say "rust". zep and pb blaster will lube them for the duration of time I'll have it. pb and zep will break almost anything at work loose...and we work with very large bolts
-
X2, a little heat to make the sticker flixible, spray some wd40 on it and peel up with you fingers or credit card. ive used the goo gone and it was so-so, everybody has wd40 layin around I $#!&-canned all of my WD40 when I discovered pb blaster...which also works.
