  1. the 98 DOES have a smaller reservoir...
  2. I posted up something about this before...i forget the title, it wasn't that long ago. but it shows a nice conversion...that doesn't require a widnshield (I don't like the idea of a contoured glass on a trailer...too easy to get f*d up.
  3. Can that be said with kid's in the room :D yep, i'm 20 :D
  4. Four eyed nerd! :D only 2 work at once...
  5. any of your ideas work. the next thing is to loosen the reservoir...which I don't advise. you CAN get a wrench in there, I've done it.
  6. been covered I think, but what tooth and diameter gear do I need to set my speedo correct with 33" tires?
  7. anyways, Pete, I'm glad that you got the stroker. and lemme know on the grille...it would be a shame to see it go to waste...
  8. LMAO! yea, check project project. it went on my 89
  9. hehe, the truck can't drive...33's stuffed in stock w/o trimming. lift on the way.... I've seen 97+ alot, so i wanted different. either way, definitely go different.
  10. screw the 97+, go waggy! much more fung shui :P
  11. oooh wagoneer :D whatcha gonna do with that grille? :brows: I could use a spare....
  12. proof that 33s do fit stock....but you can't turn far. The rims are a set that I got for $10 they're 15x7 with 4.75" backspacing.... and I will need 1" spacers to accomodate, plus 4.5" to 6.5" of lift too. the longarms are gonna be overkill...having second thoughts of going with a 4.5" rear spring system, and a 5.5" or 6" front system...
  13. Grey doesn't work with white, so It's not my bag....usually. my bro's maroon 88 has grey, I like it in that. my 89 has grey, I like it in that. My dad's 86 has light blue, I don't like it, but it works since the truck is dark blue. my 86 had light blue, I liked the complete light blue interior, BUT I like black more. so now I have a mostly black interior and really should pull the dash and swap it or paint it soon... also I need a black steering wheel/column to install... anywho, the black is the cat's @$$, grey is second to it.
  14. you don't need it. you'll regret passing it up, but Colton, I don't think it's you at the moment...the MJ could be fixed up with that $$$ or you could sell the MJ, buy a waggy or j10, THEN save up for a willy's.
  15. working on it from noon on tomorrow...planning on an oil change, pulling the rear bumper and hitch, and making a template of the hitch brackets so that I can construct more in the future (I KNOW you guys want them). gonna tackle the underbody after that...fix the rust holes in the back of the rockers, wire-wheel the underside, and undercoat it. then all I have to do rust-wise is the rocker panels, and do the minimal work inside it before I por-15 the floor and put the carpet back in. also gonna finish gettin the goo off of the sides from the bumper guards, and gonna pull the pioneer stripes. and puttin street tires on it since one of these ones doesn't hold air. new spark plugs are in order. needs new valve gasket installed too (sorta, it's actually clean). and needs stereo installed, along with the CB and the antenna I have. I ordered a 17.5"x32" pop-out sunroof for it, cost of $15 plus $30 shipping. gonna install that. then remove rear flares, trim, clean rust up, put on TJ rear flares. still need another set of rear TJ flares to put on the front. anyways, them are my plans for before the lift kit gets purchased then I also need to install an xj prop. valve since the comanche one is completely bypassed and there isn't one now...
  16. first pic. note the jagged hole above the camshaft hole second post's pic. note that hole isn't there. that's the problem...it SHOUDLN'T be there. hence need for new block. In all reality, I think you could fix that...
  17. originally posted in Totallyyamaha forum check it out, it's long but well worth it!
  18. Hey now. I happen to like my dark blue interior in my '88. Thank you very much. yea, why do you think i'm gettin them dark blue buckets for free tho? they're haenous! j/k :P
  19. maroon is good. that horrid pepper red burns my EYES OUT! then the older tan interior is actually like butterscotch and it's terrible. the newer tan out of the xj's and late MJ's is cool. light blue = ok, not great dark blue sucks and is rare green (yes, I've seen green before and it wasn't dyed so far as I could tell) would be wicked in a black or green or grey truck. black is the best as far as I'm concerned.
  20. :D springs for me are staying the way they are. I may put in a 2wd MJ spring set, without mods to it. but basically I'll lift the front to match the back...
  21. what bed? where are the rockers...are they hiding? :P what year rims are those ranger rims? backspacing and width?
  22. there's nothing mint about a 2.8
  23. something out of a nissan or a toyota. cummins would work but are heavy. Renault 2.1 fits, and if you find a cherokee optioned with this engine you can install it. however, parts are scarce and expensive, and upkeep is a b*tch. the air filter requires cross-referencing, and you should have a spare starter as the pari one brakes down all the time...no other options on starters sadly. I own one with the renault TD 2.1, and while I love it, I can hardly say it's for your average person.
  24. yep, i know that about the perches. I actually am trying to keep cost down on front lift components...
