guy want's like 50-75 bucks. and thanks. I am not looking for another project...In fact I would probably either fix it and sell it or part it out and make another trailer (keep cab for truggy in long run?. the canyon rims will be staying with me guaranteed.
-
yea. parents would have to cosign for normal student loans...my mom refuses. so fafsa...:(
-
MUCH improvement. I like it, especially w/o all the pinstriping on the sides.

thanks. I know myself well enough to know that I make good on payments. another thing I know about myself is that if I would not be able to literally work my way through college...I have this syndrome where I don't like homework, and if I have other things to do (work) I will make it a point to do those other things to do before homework....and I really need good grades so concentrating on them is a better way to go. parents don't need to pay for my school either, I don't like them doing that. it's their money. so fafsa is a good thing for me, and 20 hours a week would be fine.

it's nice but what's so special about it...?
-
I talk to people. they aren't for sale. I stop in and persuade them to be for sale. I'm a Jedi.... seriously tho, I actually have to pursue these things...the red one here, I had to look up the guys number via some internet sources I have, and I found his OLD phone number, he doesn't have a "landline" anymore he has a verizon wireless and I found his address via some stuff there, so I stopped out and left a message there and he should get back to me. it's at the place he's renting from, they lost his # and are also looking for it and he explicitly discussed selling it for the price I anticipate getting at with the person he's renting from. and that's an easy one.

Hey, no problem. I like the way it looks on there too. Hhmm.... twins... that may be a possibility in the future. Yep, TBI and seals and gaskets on the 86, and I'm beyond set. :D

:D you know

not complete bedsides. baja flares...they do you know, a baja wider flare... no only place is rusty's and it covers in front of and behind the original flare, not the whole side. search it there's a link here somewhere...i don't have it.

very well. complete except for t-case skid had the frame-side bolt headbroken off. I only broke 2 bolts off, the other one is removed thanks to my dad's welding skills (built it up and removed with vice grips) and the other one will be done next. here's pics...it had studs on the driver's side frame for the crossmember, they had to go for the drop kit to work...so they did but the nut for one broke off. fixed it this way. then just welded that stud down... spacers 1" OD, 1/4" walls, 1/2" ID completely installed crossmember d-shaft will gained 1.25" or more of input on the slip-yoke from the drop so it's dropped. in the morning I will re-center the axle, then use the pinion angle gauge to set the rear axle to match the output shaft, pull axle after tac-welding it in, then have dad full weld it paint it and reinstall it. will be doing rear brakes tomorrow too and also dropping the e-brake assembly. whatcha think?
-
yeah, get them from down south in a junkyard. they will be dented (at most) and not rusty. you won't find any OEM new ones. but if you want to go "baja" with it with wider fenders, Rusty's has baja fiberglass fenders...
-
Make that four of us :chillin: within a week make that 5. I have the dash, seat belts, and steering column to go black with the 3800. everything else is already in.
-
they're just too good of deals to pass up. and I I got a fafsa loan for school now....
-
I had you in mind actually. and I'm thinking you need to give it a try. let me see when it's done, cause you HAVE to do it
-
well, I just ordered the stock for the spacers today. it's 1" OD, 1/4" sidewalls, meaning 1/2" hole in the middle. they cut to length, I decided upon 1 and 1/4" sections...it was worth the money to save time in making them. plus they cut them off square which saves me a bit of machine work. ordered 20. I only need 9 to complete the drop (I have a t-case skid), but I'll use 3 on my e-brake bracket to lower it, and that will leave 8 for Rokhound should he want them. if he doesn't, $20 plus shipping sends them to your door. so I pick them up in the AM and get the hardware to install. gonna have to drop the tranny crossmember because I broke one bolt off already and will have to weld a nut to it and heat it up to remove it. that will be the case with a few of them I feel. after that, gonna install them, get my reading on output shaft angle, center the rear axle, set pinion angle to a +2 degree angle so that it will compress and allow the d-shaft yoke to slide in and out, but not fall completely out. then tac and weld rear axle up, permanently install, and plumb my rear brakes up. I hate the brake part...

idk. pm me what you think it's worth. I think I'd let it go for something like $75 but I've been thinking of just f*ing around with a flat-fender MJ and this grille on tatersalad....with a stepside box like I had planned before...
-
wow, i opened my mouth too soon in the x thread. that's AMAZING. :D   8) :brows: :beerhead: :clapping: :jump: thanks for accepting that gift, it looks great on there and I'm glad you could use it...I know I couldn't have pulled it off on either of my rigs. so, as much as I like that blue....I'm thinking we could do with seeing some twins here in the near future.... :brows: I'm happy for you. now the 86 just needs her TBI and new rear main, and the 88 needs a new heater system, and you are GOOD TO GO!
-
I just got a hardon. the 86 looks TOTALLY wicked now. when are you gonna put that...other thing...in the 86? some more pics of the 88 with the VISOR available? man you got one hell of a set of trucks goin there... and hey, I may be able to give you 4.10's in your rear axle on the 88 again with the one I'm getting...it would be getting an 8.8 regardless of whether it was streeted or not.
-
achieved that after comanche 1. ma got used to the parts ones passing through...I've had like 5 or 6 of them and a grand cherokee that I traded for an xj with the blue buckets i needed....yeah, before I knew about the front steering swap :( dad doesnt' care as long as he doesn't have to deal with it...much. and I'm only here temporarily...back to school shortly. I think I found a nice cottage with 4.5 acres up by school that could be had... anyways. tatersalad has to go...so torching it is priority. either that or torching the 87 sport up and creating a quad cab with tatersalad is an option. I can't have 5 of them here, so maybe I'll pawn one off on my bro...then it can just stay :D

2.5l to 4.0 swap info needed?
JeepcoMJ replied to oparatior's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
it's easier than I make it sound. if I can build what I've built, you can swap a 4.0 into your 2.5 without much issues. -
you'll hate me next week too when I pick up an 87 sport 2wd for $250 with a front right collision.

2.5l to 4.0 swap info needed?
JeepcoMJ replied to oparatior's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
If it's in the engine compartment, and isn't related to brakes, you need to swap it. same with interior wiring. so you'll need the radiator and support panel from the 4.0 -
Yet another electrical gremlin..
JeepcoMJ replied to ORCA's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
