  6. exactly, gm 3800 (by buick) is a 90 degree motor on a 60 degree bellhousing. ask me how I know (I mean, I only mated one up to my ax5 with the stock jeep bellhousing, and installed it in my comanche)
  7. drain and refill, unless it's leaking from the pan gasket

    Yuck.

literally my first time drinking was a power hour. after 6.5 beers roughly, I was putting the last can on the pyramid and ended up knocking it over. as it knocked over, it hit a half-full beer and knocked it into a girls lap...right onto her new digital camera. I started re-stacking the pyramid and was too sh*tty to know that she was yelling at me the entire time. when I finished, I turned towards her, blinked, hugged her, and went into the living room to dance...she followed and tried to slap the piss outta me. ah good times, so glad it was on video :brows: now I'm only 20 and I don't drink AT ALL anymore.
  9. they stick on, and they're not made new. you'll have to revitalize yours or find used ones in better shape
  10. the 3.4 will be as direct of a bolt-in as you can get. bolt the 2.8 motor mounts, oil pan, and exhaust manifolds onto it, and it will bolt in. try and find a 3.4 that matches your trans (i.e. auto if you've got an auto trans, or manual if you have manual), otherwise you CAN put your 2.8 flexplate/flywheel on the 3.4 but it will need to be neutrally balanced by a professional shop (not too much $$$...like $60) you will want the entire engine wiring harness and computer from the camaro (computer is under the hood), must be a 90-93/94 camaro or firebird with a 3.4. I'll give you all the diagrams to alter the harness as needed (zero soldering will be needed). you will also need to get a VATS antitheft bypass...it's a little computer box that puts out the ignition signal to the computer (pin 55 in the computer), which grounds the injectors. $30 or so shipped from http://mysite.verizon.net/vze7erz1/id1.html the only other thing you will need is an inline fuel pump (or a 4.0 in-tank fuel pump with pressure regulator) that puts out the proper psi for the 3.4. that's a full list of the mods, and while it may seem like alot...it really isn't. the mechanical bolt-in part makes it real easy. you could do it in 2 or 3 weekends by yourself, 1 or 2 if you have the motor ready to go beforehand, or 1 or 2 with 2 guys.
  11. methinks I'll just put the brand new water pump off the other motor on this one...it's a free repair. yes, probably an air pocket but I've bled the entire system. the upper rad. hose doesn't seem to have much coolant in it though (real squishy)...even though I've bled and re-bled it.
  12. yep, removed the heater control valve, flushed both ways, came out clear...it's not plugged. it blows cold when it's at idle, and warm-ish when it's at cruise.
  13. ok, so I'm not getting alot of heat from my heater in the cherokee. neither is my dad with his comanche, or my brother with his. we've flushed the radiator systems, and I even removed the vacuum system from the input/output hoses going to the heater core (yes, I plugged the vacuum hose to that). I'm wondering where it sucks air from. all of these trucks blow warm as hell air on a 40 degree day, but not much on colder days...leading me to think that it's got a sealing problem in the heater box. after looking at the a/c box I have laying in the barn, I see that it has a cold air intake (the one that goes to the cowl), and a interior intake (see picture below) when you put the heater controls in a/c HI, that interior intake opens, which blocks off the upper intake. supposedly that would suck in inside (cold) air only rather than a mix of outside and inside air. it doesn't go into that position for any other position. why? I figure this is probably a common problem. my comanche heats up like a mofo too so I'm thinking there must be a leakdown in the system where it's sucking in cold air...probably right where the heater core goes through the firewall.
  14. don't bother paying for new upholstry...get a set of seats from a 2wd cherokee that are in good shape and the same color. I think I pay at most $30 a set for just the seats...they're worthless to the junkyards now b/c they're so old, and there's almost no metal content in them
  15. good luck moving the vent up...there's no adjustment to the tubing back there so that will require custom duct work. also you may have to cut into your heater box to fit it in that location. either way, take pics of it please.
  16. wish I could, but I can't drive 5.5 hours to see him, I don't have the time off sadly. and his hospital is in minnesota. just don't know which one.
  17. ..I'll be wiring this up tomorrow so I'll let you know wats up with it.
  18. I have no way to get a hold of his mom or dad to find out, and the only number/address that I have is the one for his home. wish I'd saved his mom's cell phone number when he borrowed it.
  19. yea but I sure hope he pulls through
  20. no
  21. maybe it had an internal weight?(not likely), or someohow got mud inside it that's hard now, or it's a rubber-center shaft and a chunk of rubber came lose (that's more likely)
  22. internal rust that's broken loose most likely
  23. no, I was kidding. although it would be interesting, I've had a chevy van with "deer" pelt door panels and it was a bane to clean....threw them away.
  24. What the heck is a wookie? :hmm: lol, I was kidding. star wars stuff. think chewbacca.
  25. :D could you do a set in deer, or even wookie pelt?
