    93 Explorer

I seriously doubt there is an Explorer on this earth that made it 341,000.... :rotf: still a good find for the money you have in it Jim. Or 341000.
  4. I get the "do you wanna sell that truck" almost every time I drive it. I always tell them they don't have enough money.
  5. I paid 2500 for mine but it already had SOA 6 inch lift and dry rotted 33's. Some floor board rust but a solid body and only 83000 miles when I picked her up. ;)

With only 5 digits on the odometer kinda makes you wonder if its 241000 miles.... ;)
  7. don't blow that D35 up in the mud!!!!! :rock on: J/K Have fun bro.... great looking truck. I am hoping my front driveshaft comes today. Its been 6 weeks since I have had mine. And its rained since Sunday.... Plenty of places to play :) can't wait to see the mud pics.
  8. My wife and I were in Puerto Rico a couple years ago. We left on a cruise ship outta San Juan. We stayed there in total 3 days. Tourist area where we were was really nice. Ride to the airport, well I didnt want to go off the interstate. San Juan Airport is like a blast from the past too. They still have donky kong arcade machines there. And lots of great cheap rum. But back on topic.... Wet Horse should be very interesting. can't wait to see what you do with it!
  9. Toss in 1200 for tires, lift, and all the other crap you will be looking at least 4 grand IMO..... Once again, ask me how I know. :) Well said....

    Wow 14500?????

I wonder if he would part me out his shift boot????? :brows:
  11. That is freaking awesome. And pretty cheap compared to most cold air intakes too.. I think i will totally snag one of them, after i finish lifting my 'manche :3 Will these fit the 4.0 that came in the 88 comanche or do they have to be the 4.0 HO?
  12. Also VERY addictive...

    Wow 14500?????

    Check this out..... http://roanoke.craigslist.org/cto/3781027257.html
  14. I couldnt find 33's for 800 dollars that were worth a crap much less 37's. Unless you are planning on buying used tires. Let me see if I can recall how much I have in mine. 8.25 with locker 4.56 gears 350 brake parts for 8.25 150 hardware mounting kit 125 up front. new carrier 65.00 4.56 gears to match with install kit 250 spartan locker 300 gear/carrier shim kits 45.00 chromoly axle shafts 350 cover plate and axle seal 30 1665 is what I have in mine. that is not counting the 1000 labor as I am not a mechanic. Toss in new U joints all around another 100. 200 or so for a adjustable trackbar and steering stabilizer, shocks, you don't want to skimp on shock another 300 and go ahead and figure another 200 on just random crap you are not expecting. Mine was already lifted so I really don't know how much you are looking at for that if you piece it together say 600 as quoted above. Now we are at 3065 with out labor. Toss in that 1000 for labor and we are at 4065. I bought all new stuff and bought the "best" I could to my knowledge. I am sure there are lots of short cuts and you could shave some of this off. But this is just what CAN happen. I just done all of these upgrades just now. Not trying to scare you just giving you a heads up of how expensive it can get really quickly. Will be checking for pictures and progress buddy! OHHHHH.... and don't forget those big meats you are wanting to run!!!! It COULD quickly top 5 grand!!!
  15. Just an FYI. Just the drivetrain swap I done was around 2 grand. Toss in 1200 for tires, lift, and all the other crap you will be looking at least 4 grand IMO..... Once again, ask me how I know.
  16. We must have been typing at the same time..... Be sure it will not be a cheap upgrade. Ask me how I know... :)
  17. Also going with that big of tire the front axle shafts will have issues. And you will need an adjustable track bar.
  18. I had a Honda Vtec engine with 70,000 miles on it out of a 1997 Civic. Posted it on Craigslist for 300 bucks and and within minutes a guy called me and met me as soon as I was off work with the dough in hand. He didnt try to beat me down either. I was a happy camper.
  19. I found some dreaded news out this afternoon..... Was at my brother's shop just checking out my sway bar bushings when I noticed something odd. It looked like a soup can lid hanging down. (let me mention that my truck has been under coated and everything is black) when i started poking around its the dreaded floor pan rot. I can touch carpet from the out side on the drivers side. Passenger side is not noticable from the outside. With my head hung low I am going to go order some floor pans.... I figured it was coming when I ripped the carpet up but i was hoping it was not going to be this bad. :wall:

  21. Well I just ordered my front drive shaft. I was going to get a Tom Wood's driveshaft. But after several hours of research and lurking around different Jeep forums I decided to go with a Tatton drive shaft. He sounds like a stand behind his product kinda guy and has a quality product. Not to mention he was about 80 dollars cheaper than Tom Wood's. Any one running one of these? Guess ill just keep the 3 U joints I bought for the for the old drive shaft. As long as I have some spare parts around they will never break... LOL And by the way.... This is by far the absolute best forum out there. Kudos to everyone.
  22. Blackberry Smoke is a pretty awesome group.... Drake White is also pretty decent...
  23. Just got the call that the Comanche has her shoes on and is out in the sun for the first time in a month I would rather have them asking than my wife....
  24. Thank buddy, I can't wait to get it back on the road again. People at work will probably be glad when I get it back too. I have an ARB Bull bar winch bumper in my office at work. Everyone is like when in the hell are you going to get this big a$$ bumper out of your office?
