I have a Jackson nexgen at work. The auto darkening lens went out in mine today after probably 5 years, I've had it 10 years at work. They said I was going to have to replace it with a Lincoln viking piece of junk. I almost just left for the day lol. Until they found a new Jackson lens! Score. I think I'm thr only one left in the shop with a Jackson. I love it! I hate the Lincoln vikings. Absolute junk!

HITCH PLATES!

Ok. Just got a new quote on materials for this round of hitches! Cost hasn't gone up that much so I'll stay at the same $235+ shipping. This round though I'm doing an even more limited run than my last "limited run". I'll be ordering parts and material Friday or Monday. I'm only building 12 hitches right now, which is about half as many as last round, and will have a 10 week build time on them. So about mid August they should all be shipped out. (Doing a longer build time because I'm scheduled to be on the road more for work, so less time to build) If you have messaged me before, message me again. I can't remember everybody. These will be prepay again and first come, first serve. 12 HITCHES ONLY! $235+SHIPPING. 10 week build time. Thanks for all the support guys! -
Where are the LS swap or LS builders at? And the Holley Terminator guys!?

Stock converter. May be it

I'm gonna say I weigh a little less at Bout 3300. (Buddy has a 4x4 set up and weighs 3400, so minus t case and front diff) But ya....pretty pathetic. It hooked good. Never spun at all taking off or down the track...

Sorry guys, misplaced my time slips so took a few days to average out everything. ⅛ mile time and mph = 9.44 @ 78mph ¼ mile time and mph = 15.17 @ 92.5mph Slow! But I did do some adjustments to run a 5th time in the ¼ but got rained out...so might be faster now. I'll know next Friday in the ⅛.

Damn! I wish it woulda went any od these numbers! For some reason it barely broke stock 4.0 speeds!

Bringing back a dead thread, if anybody cares lol This Year's/Month's "scavenger hunt" is a little different... I've been building an LS swapped comanche this past year to be a street/strip truck and I've got about 400 miles on it and going to start taking it down the drag strip this weekend. Just a breakdown for anybody that cares (this might help with the challenge) It is a 1990 2wd, shorted. 8.8 3.73 swapped with a 1999 LQ4 6.0L with a 2wd 4L80e with a HD2 shift kit in it. Holley Terminator X Max. I threw in a sloppy stage 2 cam and matching valve springs. Had to put an LS1 intake on it to clear the hood. Naturally aspirated still, stock injectors walbro hellcat fuel pump with a fuel cell in the bed above the axle. Some 275/60/15 nitto 555r2s and some Assassin traction bars. Stock leaf springs with some Rancho 9000s on the rear also. 3200 lbs? Maybe. I'm taking it to my local ⅛th mile drag strip tomorrow then up to Indianapolis Saturday to a cleetus and cars event and down the ¼ strip there. Sooooo..... If you want to do this challenge, give me my AVERAGE ⅛ mile time and MPH AVERAGE ¼ mile time and MPH I have no idea what it'll run. Its not ungodly fast or maybe not even fast for what it is.... I'll do $10 off any purchase for each of the 4 numbers someone gets right. $50 off if youre the closest guess on all 4!

lowering the rear

I have my old stock 175k xj springs. I think ill still have to cut the front 4-6" off the spring to clear the traction bar bracket. -

Is There an easy way to lower the rear without using blocks? I'd like to lower it about 2" but anything helps. When I swapped in my 8.8 I made the perches myself and I thought I build them to lower the truck 1" but it only came out to ½". So I'm wanting to level it with the front. This is going to be a little drag strip truck I'm adding some Assassin traction bars in the next week or 2. I'm also thinking about possibly taking a leaf out, not sure. Theyre the original 150ish thousand mile springs.
