  1. There is a reason that you got a Rocky Road kit cheap...they are JUNK. There is no way to lift a MJ that much "cheaply" unfortunately. If you want 6" of lift, the proper kits are going to cost $1500 - $2000. You can't lift it that high without either drop brackets or long arms. I would recommend that you put the rear back down and wait until you have the needed money to do it right...or...go with a smaller lift so you can save money  :smart: Sorry to hear that you are another one screwed by the RRO illusion...
  2. Most folks that I know try to figure out how to stop the light from coming on. There is no reason for that light as it doesn't actually mean that you are in 4WD...it just shows that you "should" be ;) . You should be able to tell whether you are in 4WD or not without the light.
  3. Nice...BUT...way too expensive. I could buy 4 MJ's for the price of one of those. I'm sure there are plenty of folks that would get in to it so I hope your business takes off and you sell a lot
  4. Just wanted to say welcome to the Club... I know the 2.8 has issues, but I have no personal experience so I will allow the guys that do to respond with particulars on what they are. I don't think you are making a mistake in getting it as long as your expectations are not high for power and MPG without putting a lot of money & time in to it. :D
  5. Seems you are mis-informed. The AMC20 axles are great, tough axles. The CJ versions were weak until the one piece conversion was done, but then they can easily handle the power of a big V-8. The Waggy 20 is definitley the best of them with the strongest housing and one piece stock.
  6. If you could get it for $1500 - $1800, then I would consider it, but $2400 is too much for that one.
  7. Sounds like someone probably ran the wrong fluid in it and has destroyed the syncros. The price of rebuild is going to depend on who you have do it. I got my AX-15 rebuilt for $600 when it went out a few years back. That was with me taking the tranny out and putting it back in myself though.
  8. :agree: Great read...I was just disappointed that he gave in so soon though.
  9. IF the mileage was in the low 100K range, then I would say yes, but with over 200K on it...I'd say stay away.
  10. PM replied... Quantities updated. That just leaves the two Long Sleeve shirts to find a home
  11. Sounds like you got a goose stuck up in there :rotf:
  12. I like it... :clapping:
  13. Good deal Wade. I was a little worried about those as the youth sizes seem to run quite big. I guess that's better than small though as they will always grow in to it ;)
  14. Replied...updated...
  15. 2 degrees killed me... :fs1: It did this to both of my front tires in 3 months... I moved it back down the 2 degrees, repalced the tires and there is no problem now 3 years later.
  16. Yep...beer is a big problem for Gout sufferers. I am truly sorry to hear of your situation QGJ...and everyone that has posted of issues with Gout. I have seen two friends suffer greatly with it and would not wish it on my enemies.
  17. Yep...be careful with that one. A used fuel tank is considered hazardous and is actually illegal to ship unless you have been certified to do so. We used to ship fuel pumps back to Chrysler from the dealership for warranty inspection and we were authorized to ship hazardous, but it still cost Chrysler $300 per fuel pump to ship...and that is just a small 3 pound pump :shake: . Fuel related shipping must be handled by a special shipping company that is licensed to handle it. Shipping unauthorized hazardous can cost you a $15,000 fine (if I remember right) if you get caught. I don't mean to cost anyone a deal or a needed part, but I don't want to see a fellow CC member get burned either. Your choice...be careful
  18. I know what caster is, but when you rotate the entire axle to move the pinion up...the change in caster also throws the camber off...I did it and have the worn out tires to prove it. When you rotate the pinion up, the top of the tire will move out causing the outer half of the tire to wear VERY quickly.
  19. :rotf: Good one... :rotf:
  20. Not worth the effort. Do as Pete suggested and forget about all of that useless crap ;) . The light is not needed as stated above...you should know if you are in 4WD or not without a light to tell you
  21. It's kind of hard to tell in those pics, but in this one it appears to be about right. It should be nearly parallel to the ground as it came stock. You do NOT want to rotate it up unless you plan on repositioning the knuckles to maintain your camber. Image Not Found
  22. WOW...I figured the west coast folks would be a 3 day ride. The USPS has really pumped it up lately and they are doing a great job. I have had First Class stuff get from coast to coast in 3-4 days recently. I bought a Sandisk Sansa e250 MP3 player on Monday...shipped First Class from California it got here yesterday.
  23. If anyone is looking at this thread and you have not seen the other one where there are still four shirts available for sale, please check it out here... viewtopic.php?f=3&t=15169&start=15
  24. I noticed the small thing to. I ordered mine in my normal shirt size and it wasn't too bad, but then I washed it, dried it in the drier and now it barely fits  . The shirts seem to run a little big, but the sweats have no room for error. :???:
