Oil typically flows through the push rods, but there are multiple oil passages in an engine. I am far from an internal engine expert and I am also unsure of why you are asking the question. A little more detail of the reason for the concern may help someone more knowlegable answer.

Some call them Flea Markets, but around here it is a planned one day event (like show-n-shine) that folks gather for the specific purpose of buying, selling or trading Jeep parts.

Low Idle/ Stalling issue???

Check, clean and/or replace the IAC. Also...check very thoroughly for vacuum leaks, especially in the MAP sensor lines. -
Transmission won't go into gear

I just had a very similar problem with ours. It's a 4.0 with the internal slave and the slave was the problem. I went ahead and bought a complete clutch kit that came with a new slave cylinder. The salve that came with the kit was wrong and I ended up buying the slave at the dealership anyway because the aftermarket guys could not figure it out. -
Keep an eye on the classified forum. There is always someone with good parts to sell in there. You should go to your profile and put your location in so folks know where you are too ;) .

The concept makes sense, but I believe if you use a good Synthetic oil like AMSOIL, you don't need to worry about stuff like that. Synthetic's keep the engine clean and leave nothing behind to worry about.

Swap meets are a great place to kill a day. I have found and sold a lot of "good junk" at them. Those wheels you got are the same ones that came stock on our YJ in 1995. I sold the whole set of 5 with tires back in 1997 for $75.

Sweet :D Looks to be pretty solid...just some cosmetics to work on. That's a lotta strap you have wrapped around it ;) ... making sure it doesn't get away?

Yea...and I just went and checked after reading your post. It has been just 6 months since it was painted, so maybe I should have waited a little longer. The fact remains, however, that we were not told about hte possibility of this prior to the job being done and that is the part that I am going to fight over. I would never have done the over the rail part if I had now of this distinct possibility.

Yes, it is Duplicolor rattle can. I took the time to remove everything from the bumper, sand it down, rub it down good with a generous amount of paint thinner and then sprayed it and reassembled. Thanks...The bumper is made by Proto-Fab 4X4. I got it from JeepersDen.

I spent over 6 ours today sanding, priming, painting and installing a new front bumper and painting the rear to match. The front install is a real PITA to do alone. I am completely exhausted, but it was worth it :D .

The "Might Joe" build... -Full Console 1/25/09-

That is the basics that pretty much bring me up to today. I spent over 6 hours today sanding, priming, painting and installing a new front bumper and painting the rear bumper to match. Roll/light bar install to come on another weekend. This bumper job kicked my @$$ this weekend. That is not a job for one person. -

While doing the cooling system I noticed the battery wiring harness was in VERY poor condition, so that had to be the next step... A new spare tire carrier was neede as the one under the bed has been gone for a long time. The tire carrier had to be removed temporarily to install the Line-X. -

Next was time to address the rough running issue that had developed. A little research led me to Precision Aujto Injectors for a set of remanufactured Frd Motorsprt injectors and WOW...what a difference. MPG increased by over 14% and it runs great. Then it was time to address the cooling issues with a new 3 row radiator, new t-stat housing, new electric fan control and gettng rid of the pressure coolant bottle. -

Then came a little exterior fixing up with some mirrors and a chrome grill... Then came the 3.5" RE super ride kit to which I added the 3" leaf springs from Hell Creek Suspensions along with a new set of wheels & tires. Then a bit of misfortune struck when my wife was driving it and got hit on the left side by a 15 year old out with Mom on his learner permit. ...but that was soon fixed and a new set of Swamper TrXus M/T Radials added. -
OK...I can't believe that I have been around here this long and have not started a build thread so here it goes... The starting point... -1988 MJ -Short Bed -4x4 -4.0L -5 spd First thing I did was rip out the bench seat and put in some buckets and new seat belts. I did put gray covers on them until I can get them recovered or find some gray seats. The next thing was to get some light inside. I have a complete install thread the you can see if you Click Here

Remove the vacuum lines. Plug the ports at the transfer case. Remove the shift motor from the axle, manually lock up the sliding sleeve, move the fork over and shim it with washers to hold it in the engaged position. Is there a down side to this option when being a daily driver? Thanks for all your input guys. :D If it's an open diff, there will be no ill effects. If you have certain types of lockers in there, then you will notice a difference n the feel of the steering, but not terrible unless its a full detroit or a spool. Simple limited slips like a True Trac and lunch box style lockers can be used with little noticeable effect.

I have received advice frm a bank disputes employee as well as a lawyer. I am going to talk to Roger (the owner) one time and see if he is willing to work with me to come to some agreement on what is a fair solution to this. If not, I have a plan of attack now for getting some action out of him. If anyone is interested... Click here for .PDF file of the receipt/agreement. Please notice the lack of any initials or signature.

That is the type of thing I was talking about in the other thread. It keeps it from being a "judged" thing and the "favoritism" or "best built" thing stays out of it. The rig would be chosen each month by the site staff and no one will know how or why it was chosen other than them.

Chip Foose...who would have guessed... ;) The man never ceases to amaze me though. He creates some awesome stuff and that guy doing the flame work is definitly incredible.

Yes...I am happy with the "looks' of the liner itself as he did a great job on that. I have already removed the sticker from the back glass, but the emblen under the liner in the corner is...well, we're going to talk about that too. Problem is...I had Tina (wife) do all of this and I did not see the truck until she had gone and paid for it and brought it home. The shop is 3 blocks from where she works so it was easy for her to just drop it off before work and pick it up after. He pointed out the paint chips to her, but she didn't think I would care much because we intend to repaint the whole truck again anyway, but not immediately. I guess she has a point, but it's still aggrivating to have this happen. Anyway... Tina is going to haul a couple loads of Lava Rock this weekend for a landscaping project she is working on so we'll see how it holds up ;) .

I am going to get an estimate to have it repaired and we are going to fight. The driver side paint is only a matter of 6-8 months old as the whole side was fresh painted after my wife got hit by a teenager a while back. I am not after the brand...just this one worthless dumbass that screwed up my truck and overcharged me for it.
