  1. 93iLTn0BpBc ... couldn't resist. :D
  2. Uh oh... into February now and I still have four left. Anyone else?
  3. XJ dash harness to rear MJ harness wiring guides.
  4. Borrowed a couple 33s from me to go get it. He bought it... $700 I think he said. 8.8 with a Lock-Right in the rear, Advance Adapters slip yoke, and so on... He sounds pretty happy with it. I'm sure Nate will chime in to fill the gaps.
  5. You're going to "Comanchefy" those too, right? Maybe a dash clock on the dishwasher and a gauge cluster with working temp gauge on the stove? Maybe figure out a timer in the odometer. Throw in a Chief striped hood as a dinner table and you've got a pretty snappy kitchen set! Hyjack of the hyjack! Yes!
  6. What? They add horsepower and offroad performance when you give mobile shout outs to your "sponsors". :dunno: By my count, I see at least an additional 45 horse.
  7. :wavey: I don't want to be that guy that jumps on any situation to sell something or to get my name out there, but I would call this a shameless self promotion. If there is a need for additional bumper designs on the market, then I'd be willing to expand some. It is unfortunate that we don't have much support in aftermarket body armor components, but I think it's great that we can still go to local fabrication shops and work out a decent deal on a custom product. XJ parts are a good alternative, but you need to ask yourself what your time is worth if you need to spend it on adapting parts. PM sent/returned. Working on some drawings.
  8. My cell service sucks! Just about anyone that I've talked to... or not talked to I suppose... on my cell since I've moved can attest to this. I go through Sprint and have for years. I know that my problem isn't with them though as anyone who has been out to my house has fallen off of the cell signal map. I can get service when I go out to the end of my driveway but that seems to be an annoyance with the cold weather. So, I'm looking into signal boosters and I figured I'd reach out to the real pros around here! I'm finding a few types ranging from $180-$400. Has anyone run anything that they know works well? Thanks dudes!
  9. I like what you did with the plate and light in the reciever. Real sharp! Any closer pictures of how you cut the lower box sides?
  10. Took care of my blow by issue today. Local yard had a valve cover off of a '97 XJ for cheap. That and a matching gasket makes for a much happier old MJ. Still need to finish cleaning up the oil on the top side... Now whenever I have a good enough excuse to drop the oil pan, I'll change out the rear main to take care of the rest of the oil leak. Been kicking around the idea of removing all of the cruise control and A/C stuff too. Mostly just to clean things up but also because I hate looking at and working around components that don't work. That'd take extra work though that can be avoided by simply closing the hood.
  11. Hope you read the back of the bumper before you paint it!
  12. This is starting to dwindle down in the stickies so I figured I'd shake it up again for those still interested. :waving:

    Leaf Spring

Chesney didn't have some? Car-part.com says they do unless they're rusty and dumpy like most things in salvage yards around here...
  14. Nope... not for this truck, but thanks anyhow! Good information for anyone who stumbles on these indicators. Not so good news for me, but we'll see if it'll work out anyhow... on another truck. Thanks dude!
  15. I agree completely. On mine, I wanted to mount it as low as possible just for that reason. Food for thought... eat it up.
  16. Completely forgot about this guy: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12142 Neat looking bumper but I don't think the 8274 fits it quite right.
  17. Yeah... they're kinda tricky to make them fit right. I was in the same boat as I found one for real cheap. I ended up cutting the header and grill to make everything fit as tight as possible: It's really the winch that's the reason that I'd love a good enough excuse to make a new set of bumpers for this truck. The 8274 is a big unit and even when trying to make it disappear it seems to take up the whole front end. I'd say on the front of a Wrangler, they look right at home... not so much an MJ. On a side note, I'd also like a different winch because my old shop was broken into a couple years ago and one of the items that went missing was my recovery bag with the winch controler in it... haven't found one yet.
  18. Odd question... has anyone ever been changing their oil, looked in the catch pan and thought to themselves, "Well, hu... that doesn't look like 6 quarts now does it?". Well, I'd say I got about four quarts out of it today. I know that it leaks because, really, what 4.0L doesn't but I never really thought it was that bad! Where was it going, you may ask? Behold!: Can't say that I've ever had a pool in my air box before! Not sure how far I want to dig into this. For sure a catch bottle will be fixed up under the hood for now. I know that it's a pretty big deal to have this mutch blow-by, but I still had a good laugh over it!
  19. ... convert to 4wd and dump the body kit? Because I could probably find a home for it.
  20.
  21. Weren't the Street Comanches only in '87? It should have a little plaque on the gloxe box lid. Also, not the right rear bumper or grill. Hmm... I don't know about that one... still neat to look at and clean! I'd motorboat that.
  22. That a bottle of Red Stag on the bench?... good choice. Smooths out just about any automotive task.
  23. Just to help the conversation, this is what they look like on the inside: I agree... mega cool!
