  1. Depending on if she wants a factory look or not, these might be another good alternative: I really like the looks of them and I like that they have a separate switch to operate rather than just pushing around on the light itself.
  2. I'll just be watching this for now. I really doubt I'll be able to embark on an epic journey this year... which is a real drag if this thing happens! Depending on what works for everyone else, my school schedule only puts me off work for about four weeks. Late July into early August would be my dates.
  3. Glad to see that trailer pop up again. Good to see it has a good home! Looks of good stuff happening here!

  5. Awesome! :rock on:
  6. I remember back when we were all at Pete's place... for whatever reason, there was this thing that you said that has stuck with me and I say it at every opportunity that I can. I know, it doesn't really sound like much. It was just more of a you had to be there type of deal and the way that it was said. It was about 11:00 at night. Imagine three dudes sitting around in some guy's living room that we've never met before just kickin' it, keeping it real, talking Jeeps, and throw in a heated discussion about internet connections just for fun. Then, abruptly, the biggest (and only) dutchman I've ever seen stands up and storms out the front door. I stand at 6'1" and this guy towers over me! He comes back in about a minute later with a cooler and starts passing out some Mike's. What did he say? "Who brought the chips?!" It was awesome!!! I was tired. It was late. Then this gets said in a thick, dutch accent. Again, I know it doesn't sound like much, but this is what sticks with me most about meeting Marcel. Now it's anytime I'm at any kind of gathering or party and it's always, "Who brought the chips?!". Of course, nobody ever has a clue about what I'm talking about so I get to fill them in on that one time there was a group of strangers that came together from different states with a common interest. Usually I get blank stares followed by some question about why one would want to travel so far to hang out, and sleep, at someone's house whom you've never met. I try and explain, but then comes the blank stares again. Anyhow... Hooray for the flying dutchman!!!
  7. Diggin' the '80s graphics on the sides. Swamp donkey has been done though: http://comancheclub.com/topic/13868-project-swamp-donkey/ Keeping with the "swamp" theme: http://comancheclub.com/topic/13266-project-swamp-yankee-update-36-tsl-sx/ Welcome!
  8. I used to drive a '90 Dodge Spirit in those exact colors! When it came time to sell, I advertised it as a two-tone... people always seemed disappointed when they first saw it though. :laughin: I miss that car...
  9. This... dripping with awesome.

  11. ... guilty. :shake:
  12. Well... haven't heard anything back from the guy selling the roll cage. He said that he would talk to the guy who has it now and get back to me, but I'm started to get my doubts. What a big time drag. Originally I wasn't even going to run any cage just because I know I'd be knocking my knees all over it getting in and out of the truck. Knowing that I most likely missed this one, now I want one! Who knows... if I end up putting one in, I'll probably end up making one up. On the up side, I just picked up my brass bushings for the leaf springs! The limited slip clutches went in the dana 44 without any problems and they're just waiting on me to pick up a couple seals. It'll probably be another week at the earliest before I get the axle back, so I'll probably hold off on mocking up the suspension.
  13. We talking about the 2.3L? Stout little engines! I say do whatever you want with it... it'll last. Not to start any fights with Jim, though.
  14. Been thinking about this lately, Jim. Ever think about a 3.9 Isuzu? You can pick up a whole mid '90s NPR cab over truck for $2k ish. :dunno: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3Z7Y29CmoM

  16. Go up to your username in the top, left corner. Click on "My Settings", then click on "Display Name" over on the left side.
  17. Buzz kill... WHAT?! What is that supposed to mean? Was it scrapped? Oh, god... oh, god... freakin' out, man.
  18. On it... thanks for the tip!
  19. Like I said before, I moved this truck to work on a project for another member. The project was bumpers. I know this has nothing to do with cool race stuff, but I'm still waiting on bushings for the leafs. The rear axle is being worked out also. So... I'm waiting and needed something to keep me busy. Hopefully more on this soon.
  20. If the truck is staying white, I'd go with the red/black.
  21. Nice... I love building vehicles vicariously through other people.
  22. So it's my fault?! :laughin: Bags sound cool. Really can't wait to see this taking shape!
  23. Update... Had a huge run around with getting new clutches. :fs1: 22233x is the wrong part number for this. I thought I had everything going my way with trying to order the 22937x until I was told that it wasn't available. Fine... get the old part number on its way then, right? Wrong. I first was trying to use FindItParts.com. After they left me a voicemail saying that I couldn't get the 22937x they got all salty with me when I tried calling back without knowing the name of the guy that left the message. "Sir, some guy called me it's good enough here. I need the order numbers... I need the shipping number... I need the part number of what you have and what you need... I'm sorry sir, but you need to be a little more prepared before calling us." I was pissed. Hasn't been a good week for me in the first place and then hearing all this verbal garbage didn't make it any better. Last time I was that worked up I yelled at an Amish dude... that's another story though. Some things were said, credit was put back on my card and I thought I could just move on. Wrong again. I got in touch with another company, DriveTrain America, and, like an idiot without checking their numbers, gave them the part number 22233x. Got a great price on it. It shows up at my door. I open it to find something that didn't even look close. At this point I called DriveTrain America and talked to AJ. Cool guy... easy to deal with... understanding with the situation... glad to get to the bottom of the problem. He contacted Dana and assured me that I actually needed part number 708203. Wonderful! That was Thursday afternoon and FedEx just left me the right parts. To my door, if you don't work in eating shipping costs a couple times to get the right stuff, it cost me right around $60. Cheaper than most online places. I'd recommend DrivaTrain America to anyone. Don't fuss around with online ordering though. Calling and talking to someone was well worth it. Onward!... hopefully. :crossfingers:
