  1. Very cool little ‘86 Cherokee for sale in Colorado with some neat options. Sure… not running, and it’s got a 2.5… but it’s got one of those cool steering wheels with the black spokes. https://cosprings.craigslist.org/cto/d/colorado-springs-1986-jeep-cherokee/7892660165.html

    Hello

  3. Good that the truck is still around. Give it a good home!
  4. Guy named Kevin Witte owns it. Super knowledgeable guy and very helpful with answering questions. They run a stand up company if you’re not looking for any frills.
  5. Mmm… I doubt it. I forgot about the testing up in your area.
  6. Have you looked at Affordable Fuel Injection out of Michigan? Good, easy kits that are Howell based for our 4.2s.
  7. Didn’t notice. For how many JKs are out there on a daily basis, they’re just a part of the background at this point. A Comanche though?… those stand out.
  8. Fairly certain I saw you taking 24 up the hill from the Springs this morning.
  9. I built this truck. Last I saw the fuel pump it was the chassis of the original ‘86 sending unit that I cut to accept the pump from the ZJ drivetrain donor. I don’t think it went all the way down to the bottom of the tank though. I want to say the next owner tried to do something about that?
  10. Haven’t even driven it since to know if made any difference.
  11. Didn’t hardly pay to take the top off this year. Really didn’t drive it much this summer. I welded shut 26 holes in the rear fender well tops before the top went back on… completely forgot about the cracks in the suspension mounts until the shop was cleaned up. Getting to be sweater weather.
  12. I’ve got this constant list of projects for this thing that every once in a while I actually pick a line item that mechanically benefits the Jeep. Most recent pick was finally putting a fan shroud on it. Could’ve sworn I had one around. Oh! There it is! This sign is aluminum and a pretty good size. It took a bit to strip off the paint, but a DA with 80 and 120 grit made for a nice finish. I left about an inch all the way around the fan for clearance and made the shroud in two pieces. The main piece drops down from the top (with the upper hose off) and then lower section goes up from the bottom. The airflow difference is awesome! The CJ has never over heated on me… knock on wood. The temp gauge has read up to around 210° when toodlin’ around on a hot day, although I’ve never put a different gauge on it. Interested to see what kind of difference there might be.
  13. I hate the thought of emptying body panels that sound like maracas.
  14. Probably as done as it’ll be for the year. We added plants, furniture, power, and I tied in the steps around it. Maybe add a propane fire pit? We’ll see once fall comes around.
  15. Not sure about the house brand parts quality, but in my area there’s definitely a difference in the quality of the employee. If I know exactly what I need down to the part number, then I go to AutoZone. If I’m looking to flip through a dusty, old binder looking for dimensions, then I go to Napa. AutoZone is very “year, make, model, drivetrain, exterior/interior color, so-on and so-on” while Napa is willing to help me figure out a solution.
  16. I like using scrap for projects. This was old pipe and pallet racking shelves. Currently has paint drying. I’ll flip it over and paint the other side later in the week.
  17. Time to have a seat for a minute.
