  1. Yea I'm thinking I'm going to just go get a new gauge. Then go from there.
  2. Here is a picture of the ground. I did meter the wires hooked up to the gauge and I'm wanting to say I was getting like 8 ohms from the signal wire.
  3. So I hooked up the ground and drove it around and it was finicky. Light started coming on and of and the gauge needle started working once for about 5 seconds. I'm thinking the gauge is bad.
  4. Ok, now my question is will I be able to start it and let it idle and see the trans temps getting operation temps, or does not fluid run to the trans when its in park? Also what are normal temps that I should be seeing and what is to hot. There has been some bearing noise coming out of my trans since I bought the truck, but it shifts and runs fine.
  5. ok thanks guys. Ill try to add a ground tonight and see if that does the job.
  6. VERY GOOD INFO!
  7. Sorry I'm not getting this... Bare with me. So I have to mount the "T" to the frame or just run a additional wire from where the signal wire is mounted on the "T" to a ground on the body/frame?.
  8. Oh ok I understand now. So what the easiest way to ground it? Here is a picture.
  9. I grounded the gauge. There was no ground for the sensor. Just a signal wire coming from it.
  10. Ok we'll I think I found the problem guys. Pulled out my cluster and started tugging on the Speedo cable and I was just able to pull it completely out. It looks like it might have got caught in the 4wd linkage last time I put it in 4wd and snapped. Ugh!!! So has this ever happened to anybody and how hard of a fix is it?
  11. A while ago I got a trans cooler and a b&m trans temp gauge and I'm just now hooking it up. I ran all the wireing and the gauge lights up but does not read the temps. How can I trouble shoot to see If the sensor is working?
  12. Thought I would share some pictures
  13. She is on a rolling! I have to say I really didn't see much difference from 3.55 gears to 4.10s
  14. Man I wish I took Pictures when I ran into the problem. Like I said I just oblonged the Holes on the Trans mount to make it work.
  15. Do you have a picture of what the connection looks like so I know what I'm looking for.
  16. My mj has been down for a while while I was doing a 8.8 swap. I also wired up my light bars, trans temp gauge, and a few other things. It's all up and running now but the speedo doesn't work now. The cable going into the transfer case looks fine. Is there anything under the dash that I could have unhooked not knowingly to make the speedo not work?
  17. How much is he going to charge you? I might be intrested in the adapter plates if he is willing to make two sets
  18. So how much lift are you running total? And what size tires?
  19. I have 8 inches of lift in the rear of mine right now and had to get a sye because of bad vibs. And had a 1 inch transfer case drop.
  20. Darn you are about 3 hours awayI could have dropped off a complete Dana 35 for ya if you covered gas.
  21. Yea as stated before I have the same prob. Could never fig it out. I took a grinder and oblonged the holes on the transmission mount ( the side that colts to the crossmember to make it work. It was not fun. And I'm about to install serious offroads xj long arm lift on my mj and I know I'm going to run into the Same problems again with nothing lining up right. So this will be fun.
  22. The mount is offset if I believe if I remember right. So therefore I don't think it will bolt to the transmission flipped.
  23. I belive I have the same prob. My mj was swapped by the PO. I haven't been able to fig out why
