man sorry to here about your luck but if you want to rebuilt it I would. Plus I am parting out an 87 sport truck I don't no where your at but I have a hood and all the wiring under the hood from the 4.0 and it was a 4x4 with 5 speed. I just don't want to see some one send a good lookin MJ to the junk yard thats all. Drop me an email if there is any parts you need
-
yes there was and from that post this is what you had to say "Keep in mind two things: First, the guy who wrote that article was doing a WJ brake conversion, and the WJ calipers are totally different from the MJ calipers. What fits them may or may not fit an MJ. And secondly, he made up his list by looking at pictures on a web site. He says right in his write-up that he doesn't know if the ones he didn't use will fit. Advice like that is dangerous." So I just wanted to no in the end what worked and what you guys used.

I am running a 6" lift I need front brake lines I no that you guys run stainless steel lines but I want something cheaper I was thinking about one off anther Jeep or what ever it would be. Price and part number would be great
-
I called them and they said mid December they would update there website and post it here as well or that is what the guy said tonight when I called also I asked the price he thought would be around $280. It looks like there planning on one like the stage 2 slider for the Cherokee with the tube I thought this would be great since I am shorter and getting thing out of the back of my truck is some what a pain. One more thing to add to my wish list along with the bumper and steering
-
I would think but most people go for the 97 and newer look just a thought if that other deal falls through
-
thats just goofy lookin but hey if it works that cool man nice

I will agree that you should take out the rad. and the grill. I just changed the water pump in the wifes truck what a pain I had to take the whole front of the motor apart. And yes the rad. came out and made my job easier.

I went to Sears website they start at 10.99 and go up depending on what brand I mean Snap-On could be hec who knows how much. I twisted those two top bolts off on my tranny a 6 pack later and torch grinder and chisel they were out. They can be SOB but they well come out.

use a drill bit and an easy-out just a thought or you could drill it out and retap it.
-
My thought to that is do you want to build it right the first time and what do you plan to do with it. Drive around town and have one of those pretty boy toys or do you want one to go playing off road with. Also my thought is if you built her strong the first time you might not have to worry about it breaking. I mean we are taking about the steering. Just my thoughts

Yes I no this is why I own 2 1/2 of them. And the wife, I think has the bug as well. She was telling me as soon as I get the red one done that hers is next. I think I am doing the leafs up front or that T&T long arm that you have on your truck man. That is really what got me going. Becouse before I met up with the both of you guys I never seen an upclose lifted MJ just the wife and that thing is 2wd and yes I liked it but it just didn't talk to me until that day so I guess I owe you a great thank you. That is one sick tuck me like alot -
I really like the leafs up front

how did you get the stripped bolt out
-
ok ok now I feel like a real dumb a$$ I fond that my 4x4 tranny came out different and what I missed was the tranny cross member was attached to the exhaust. On the 4x4 all I had to do was unbolt it from the truck which is what I did on the 2wd and over look it  I do thank you all for the help and the tranny is on the ground Thanks agian.
