I wanted to share this link I came across on a GTO forum. These guys make custom shift knobs in a ton of different configurations. Hey guys, I'm looking into different options for my center console and in my last Jeep (04 LJ) I had a really nice factory center console with a subwoofer in it. I was wondering if anyone on here has fitted a TJ/LJ center console into their MJ? I was also considering a Tuffy full length console if the TJ/LJ console fit and looked decent enough. I was also going to look into making a TJ/LJ e-brake handle work in it to complete it. Any input is greatly appreciated and pictures would be amazing! Thanks, RockMJ

Mine has threads on it just not sure of the pitch. I believe the Cherokee's were M10x1.5 I believe? I can't say that for sure but thats what ive found. Not sure if the Comanche's are the same but it looks like the YJ's and TJ's are the M10x1.5. I suppose I answered my own question here if the MJ's are the same as the XJ's. I for sure cannot say if any of this is true but maybe someone on here will know for sure RockMJ

Hey guys, I'm getting down to the finishing touches on revamping my interior and I'm at that point where I'm picking up the odds and ends. My MJ didnt come with a shifter for the 5 speed trans so I'm looking for a replacement. Question is, what is the thread pitch and is it the same as a YJ? Reason I ask is because I can get a oem replacement for dirt cheap. I appreciate the input and I really need to find my thread finder. Thanks, RockMJ

The 42 was only used in the 4.0 ZJ's. The 5.2's and 5.9's had different transmissions. The 42 isnt worth your time to make work behind a V8. Best bet is to find a trans from a late model ZJ with a V8. Good luck RockMJ

Okay, so I'm getting close to finishing the interior and I'm about to pull the trigger on the Corbeau Moab seats. I found a member on here selling the MJ slider brackets so if that works out it will be perfect. But everything brings me back to the bench seat brackets versus the bucket seat brackets. I guess time will tell whether the stock bench brackets will make the seats too high or not. Any more input is welcome! RockMJ

I just want to say this thread should be stickied! I picked up a set of 33" Toyo AT's wrapped around some Eagle Alloy 137's for cheap. I also got my wiring issues squared away and worked on the interior a bit. Oh, and I washed it for the first time! RockMJ

Thanks guys! Where exactly would I look for the wiring in the dash? Or does this wire send power to the bed lights when the doors are opened like modern pickups? I'm looking for an LED third brake light/cargo light setup for the MJ so I'm open to options if anyone has any input on specific lights RockMJ

Hey everyone, I'm in the process of a complete interior teardown and makeover on my MJ and when I was wiring up my new b-pillar lights I noticed another cable up there. Its a pink with a black tracer and I was wondering what this is for? I do plan on adding a Nissan Frontier third brake light on the cab in the next few weeks so I was wondering is this cable for a utility light or a third brake light? here's the cable I'm speaking of Thanks for the input guys! Ordered a bunch of parts: Door handles, headlight switch, weatherstripping, interior lights, etc. Also made the pile of re-finished interior parts grow! I only have a few more panels to clean and paint before its all done. Next is to get seats, a new steering wheel, shift knob, POR-15 the floors and bedliner it. Its getting there! RockMJ

Hey guys, I'm in the process of overhauling my MJ (fresh interior/exterior) and I was wondering how the cab vents come off? I don't want to force them as they are hard to replace if broken so I was wondering how they are held on? Thanks ahead of time, RockMJ

I have the armrests if thats what your referring to? I need the actual door handle mechanism assembly with manual locks and no power windows. The chrome trim ring on mine is destroyed and the handle could use a replacement as well RockMJ

Hey everyone, I'm piecing my MJ's interior back together and I'm in need of a DS inner door handle assembly for manual door locks and windows. I would like to keep everything matching if possible. I am also looking for exterior door handles for both the DS and PS if you have them as well. Chrome or black plastic works. Have the cash and I'm ready to paypal the seller.
