  2. well I'm not seeing any of the obvouis things and i was planing on replacing sensors anyhow just due to age. i will start with the TBS mostly because i had some of the same problems on my XJ and that was it. although I'm not quite clear on how to adjust it once its on the motor. there is no room to to work plus just how do you get the muti meter probs into the plug. as i was looking around i was trying to see if i could get any codes to come up when i relized i don't think my check engin light even works. it dose not flash when i turn the key not sure if thats a realy bad sign or not. anyone?

  6. all great things to look for thanks. i can tell you that filter only has about 2000 miles on it and the rubber lines are new. i dose not idle as it should . it used to idle around 800 or so its now down around 300 or 400. ill check the plug wires tomorrow but they have just as many miles as the filter. this just aint fair i was coming home from getting my new wheels mounted and then this. maybe shes having withdraws.
  7. the engin just started ruuning really bad like its not getting enough gas. and it has no power can almost not get it moving and once i do it will not go over 35 mpg. this happend pretty much all at once. left the house stopped of at a freinds house and on the way home it all went to hell. any ideas what to look at first?

  9. i met a few of the guys from the club last saturday. seems like a good group of people. i did not however ask about the dues yet i spent my time listening for the most part. looks like there going out to southington on march 3rd. I'm going to see if i can get off work and ride out. if anyone can make it that would be great
  10. so who else thinks that june will work for a meet and greet?. I'm thinking that fathers day sunday the 17th will not work for anyone. i will be at Stan Hewett hall in Akron for there anual fathers day car show. i hope they let me enter the comanche this year since i have lifted it. i entered it last year in a non judgeing catagory since its not old enough. last year it was $25.00 to enter the truck and that gives you 2 tickets to get in. if any one is intested i will post the entrance form when they send it to me. don't worry about how your truck looks i saw some pretty beat up entrance last year. one nisan pickup truck looked like the guy was living out of it. it was pretty clear he entered it just for the tickets. the vehicle dose need to be 25 years old though so some of us may not be old enough yet. if june is no good through out another date and see what sticks
  11. yeah I'm thinking trails would be my comfort zone
  12. very nice truck. whats the X trim level and what plans do you have for it?
  13. i knew that chef school right? as far as what the dues are for i don't know but ill ask. i do know the other club that i have gone wheeling with Erie Shores jeeps & 4x4 uses there dues to maintain the web sight plus they have a summer cookout and a christmas party with money collected. i have been to a few of there meeting plus one wheeling trip these guys are a great group. there meetings usual cover where ther money is spent & upcoming trips. they wheel alot at wellsville plus they do like to travel to pa & ky &wv and all points beyond. there going to arkansw next month. yeah i can't spell by the way. the main group of these guys like to rock crawl a lot but if they get a large goup together they split up and will run some eaier stuff for guys like my self who do not yet have all the toys.
  14. i will be going to there meeting for the 1st time this saturday night at the Quaker Steak and Lube in sheffield. the meeting will run from 7 till 9. i think they said it will be in the back room. this place is just a few minutes from my house. pm me if your going to go and ill make double sure to be there.

  16. so papa bears in june?
  17. i had the vinyl also i got it from rockauto. it was vaccum form fit to the original pattern or so they said. it did fit almost perfectly with some triming. but i will give you this advice if you get the vinyl. open it up and let it flatten out for a few days and if you have the time let it sit for a month. mine seems to have shrank after i trimed the edges. also you will need a pair of gloves and a heat gun also if you notice on your old stock cover any where they made a slit it ended in a small hole so it will terminate the split. i used a large drift pin i heated with a toruch . last but not least no matter what you decide do not put that felt sound deadening back in. it just acts like sponge that will never dry out. i used some closed cell foam pads that sears sells for your garage floor. 1 pack will cover everything. with the heat gun and some duct tape you can get this stuff to form fit. check out the pics below with the matt in also if your taking up the carpet you might as well put in some floor drains. i used the bung from a 55 gallon drum. i had to replace the drivers side floor pan so i used the 2 " hole on that side. on the passenger side the floor pan was in good shape so i cut the 1" bung out in the same shape as the factory floor plug and glued it in place with auto body seam sealer. but i done have any pics of that. sorry
  18. Get your mind out of the gutter before I knock you! She's 15, been wheeling since she was 13 and better than most people I ride with. More common sense than myself also meaning she wouldn't have let the truck end up in a river. wow so sorry i did not mean for it to come across that way. i have three daughters of my own. i kind of figured she had mad driving skills and would make me look bad on the trail.
  19. please tell me shes not like 10 years old :rotfl2:
  20. wow that sounds like an intense trip  but fun I'm sure. I'm not sure if i could bring my self to follow you. at least not until after my first dent  yeah I'm a newb
  21. did you make it out there this weekend? there was a few guys from my area from NEO 4X4 that where headed out . i was tempted but i want to get a set of wheels first. hopefully by the end of the month.

    truck insurance

after posting this i started looking around on line for classic car insurance. i got one quote back on a value of $8000.00 for $188 aa year. my insurance co said i should get it apprased and gave me a ball park of around $200 per year. as long as there where no teenagers in the house i have a primary vehicle and a garage to park the truck in. i fit all of the above i just need to get it aprased.

    truck insurance

what kind of insurance do you have on your mj? at this point all i have is liability but the more money i sink into it the more i have to loose in the event of any one of a dozen unspeakable things  :( :fs1: :ack: :shake:
  25. ok i found out what CAD is and no i did not lock it. but i am going to put new u-joints in tomorrow plus I'm going to have the drive shaft balanced tomorrow as well. the drive shaft is new as i said and there are no balance weights on it. i have felt that it might have been out of balance from the start. maybe since the lift everything got magnified. ill update tomorrow night.
