  2. ok so got a chance last weekend to take the truck out for the fist time with erie shores jeeps and 4x4 club. we went to wellsville ohio. there was about 20 jeeps in all. my comanche(the only one in the group. infact i think i may have infected a few guys with comanche fever) with its stock sspention looked like a low rider in compareson to all of the others. anyhow the stock suspention preformed suprisingly well. so I'm thinking of down gradeing my lift hight just a bit. i am looking at the 3" hybird lift from Motion offroad. for a 3" kit it looks very complete but i was wondering if any of you out there has an opinion on Motion off road. it all looks good but kind of pricey concidering it dose not include the shocks.

I'm sure ill be dead before this one gose out. saterday i will get to try out my new tool. i bought a trans adapter for the floor jack. it looks like it should work ok but i will nedd to get the truck a little higher in order to get it out from under. everythink came in today i will be replaceing the clutch assy , rear main seal and the pan gasket.
  5. the slave cylinder is leaking. i guess il be pulling the trany this weekend. i found all of te parts at RockAuto. including the hyd hose
  6. i left work the other day and within 2 miles i had no pedel and could not get it back into gear once i pulled it out. i found the master cylinder empty and also there was no visable signs of a leak. i fill the mc back up and pumped the pedal several times and got the pedle back and was able to get it home with out any problems. the next morning i was unable to get it into gear but the mc was full. i have not got a chance to try and bleed it out. also i have trouble getting it into reverse it grinds sometimes when i start out in the morning, i have to go from 1st then back to R to get it in gear. i have been looking for new clutch kits and have found lots of MFG'S out there. anyone have any recomendations on a new one. this truck is mostly a daily drive and only off road once or twice a year.
  7. thanks for the info

  9. so I'm wanting to lift my stock truck, its an 87 2.5 4wd short bet sport truck. and after reading pages of options on what to do and what not to do and everyones thoughts on all of hte choises out there i am a bit dizzy. i should note that i have no past exerience with lifting a truck. anyhow i have seen the Hell Creek web sight and the 4.5" rear springs have cought my eye. i like the fact that it remains an sua set up. i see there was lots of intrest in the springs but is anyone out there using there springs? as far as the front end parts. dose anyone have a favorit mfg

uote="johnr"]i am registering my new toy. she is a 1987 jeep Comanche 4 cly 4 speed 4 wd sportruck base. i ran the vin and it was born in feb 1987 in toledo. from there it went to pinebrook motors in Lynchberg Virginia it was delivered on may 18 of 87. it was at some time traded in to Berglund Chevrolet in Roanoke VA and resold on may 22 1989. at that time it had 16480 mile on it and it sold for $7950.00. this person owned the truck up until some time in 2010 when it was bough by Rivera southern autos dealership in cleveland ohio. i found it in august of 2010 on my way to the junk yard for another project i was doing, she was sitting out in front no bumpers the passenger side door was and at this writing still is primer but over all looking good with no rust not bad paint and crappy tires and only 78925 miles on her. i got it for to much some might say but for $2500.00 knowing that a restoration would not include 1 oz of bondo i could not pass it up. other than the sportruck decals she is stripped the only option is an am/fm radio, the floor mat is rubber, no ac, manual windows.oh it has power steering. so far i have taken off the bed cleaned and painted the underside. ran new brake lines tune up hoses belt plugs and wires. i was kind of torn on if i should keep all the stuff i replaced. it was all original. the belts and hoses had the AMC logos on them. i tossed them thought. i need to get some photos posted ill try next time I'm on she is now a permanent resident of north ridgeville ohio
