on a distributor of a 1985 2.5 liter the pulse ring has two different lineament grooves one is a triangle and round 180 * of each other for shaft mounting -it looks like no different in firing pattern ...anybody seen this before and know what the moo this reason of this ..most/all distributors have only one on the pulse ring to mounting to the shaft ... thxs

The rear load sensing proporitong valve is not available new unless there is some NOS out there. You either have to work with it or bypass it altogether if it's broken. There are after market adjustable proportioning valves out there. DAMN ! yup that is my trouble ..ok now the best fix for this trouble ..what about fitting a manual valve in place of ? and who makes a good one for the job ? i think this thread/post needs to be a sticky note for people ...them MJ's are getting old and things are failing with age ......mine works very well ,it needs a paint job .....i think a preservative camo job[earth brown] is order till more money to the rest ...what do you think of this move ?

i did R&R the booster ...it works great but running first stage is still weak ...like rear brake valve by-passing to much so anybody know where to get it !!

i found no air in the brake system so far .....brakes are hard when not running ...when running soft and pumps up to hard till let alone soft again ...could the valve in back mess with the system if bad ????

damn i have a MJ at the shop with same trouble ...so what the moo is going on ????..... voltage not stable ???

ok its been bled - new brake master installed ....soft brakes still ...no leaks slow encouragement all wheels working ..but when not running brakes are hard !

this mount will cause a hell of a nightmare -if the clip holding brake line falls out ,the brake line WILL break by wiggling around ! i found out on a friend's mj !!!!both lines failed !!!

the hell with plastic valve cover ! i found one at the junk yard for 25 dollars glued the gasket down with old black gorilla snot for head side thin coat of GM engine sealer ...the PVC valve is from a might max 2.4 liter ...it works great ..no more leaks !

yup did that one its ok .....right now any temps below 45* outside, it craps out after stat up which no trouble but now drive 1000 yds -mash the clutch it drops engine speed to die ....

my mj is dropping idle is drop to dieing /cutting out ..after driving down the road ,step on the clutch to stop ,it dies ! plus it was backfiring a bit was well ...this just started ??? oh well ,its a jeep......this is the first time over 5 years of ownership i have troubles on the road ...diagnosis time !!! the engine was ''jumping/stumbling was well ... look over the thing today only thing i found was intake air sensor was at ''0'' ohms .....what the blinking moo! road test time next ???

what the damn moo! if it jumped time ? ok gears /chain was crap like in china made crap ..not harden right too soft ! or loss of oil going to different areas of the engine is another reason .....if you don't grease the chain with moly grease ,this helps the life of chain in the break in time! cut open the oil filter see if any medal shavings are in it-looking like gray'/silver powder ??

i am planning to paint the mj in the near future ,ok now which paint is best for camo etc and with anti-rust in mind ? thxs

if you need more cargo carrying etc ,get some coil spring -over shocks for a S-10 pick up ..cut the pinched cross bar off at one end ..pull what left out .next use some silicone grease in the bushing holes ..install will need to lift back side a bit
