I bought this unit off eBay to upgrade my Dana 35 and decided to go in a different direction. With that in mind, I could either put it on ebay or see if anyone on this forum would like it. You can see the original eBay posting at https://www.ebay.com/itm/27521615923. It is currently selling for $570. My price including shipping in the USA is $425.

Thanks - I will look at the liberty
-
do you cut the mounts off the old D35 and weld onto the Liberty axle or do you obtain them form another source? Lots of Libertys in the junk yards.

I like the D44 for the ease of installation. The spring mounts are exactly the way they need to be. I don't know what it would take to modify one of the other options you mentioned. The easier they are to install the more I would be willing to switch.

I am wanting to upgrade my Comanche to have a Dana/Spicer 44 rear end. I will be towing a boat and want a stronger unit. I will upgrade the unit to a 4.10/4.07 if it is not already set up. I am in South Carolina, but can pick up any location east of the Mississippi River. Would consider crossing the river if not going too far.

Don't know if they made them but would like to put a front hitch on my Comanche to make it easier to park my boat.

What are these electrical gizmos
Javelinmania replied to Javelinmania's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I will be putting in fuse panel soon. Here is what is inside. The wires are different gauges. The longer wire is a thicker gauge than the shorter one. -
What are these electrical gizmos
Javelinmania replied to Javelinmania's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
When I look at the electrical manual, I do not see them on the starter relay and placing them on the battery would unclutter the area some. Too many wires in a tight location. They could easily go back to the relay. Any thought on the amperage of the fusible link? I am looking at the wires and I think several need to be replaced as the wires are not in the best of condition with missing insulation. Some black tape could help to resolve the issue. -
I am working on my truck and found a large numbers of wires connected to the starter rely on the post where the battery cable goes. I was going to move them to the battery post cable. Unfortunately, one of the wires broke coming out of this black gizmo. Is this just a connector or does it do more like drop the voltage or as a fusible link. Looking to see if I can just snip them off and put on modern connectors with a longer wire to easily connect to the battery. I have not identified where they go to or what they are for - that is for another day. The end with the eye hook looks like original wiring and on the other side is thicker red wires.

I haven't seen anything on these in months. Are they in production yet? If so, I would like to order them. -
Had a 12 hour round trip to snag a Leer Camper Top. Will eventually paint it. First, I need to find the time to finish the maintenance I started on the recently acquired Comanche in between working on two houses - one that will go up for sale and the one we just moved into. Here's the pictures.

Will this hitch fit a 1988 Comanche with the rail style bumper? If so, I will want one sent to Lex, SC 29072. Mark Fox I will include a picture of the rear bumper over the weekend. This is the front of the truck with the "Tube" (not "Rail") bumper. I don't have a picture today of the rear - but will Saturday. -
