  1. Taped off the front fenders and cut them out Image Not Found Got the gas tank and straps that were rusting pretty bad sanded and mounted back up Painted some dash trim Bought a new set of badges off ebay I'm seeing some of these pics came out pretty crappy they looked fine when I took them :fs1: I got a new phone maybe some of my newer pics will be better. Also have a digital cam on order!
  2. Well its been awhile since ive posted updates weve been working.Just havent updated so here's some updates excuse the pics will be a little out of order. I have so many to post ill just do the best I can to get caught up again then do a better job of organizing and keeping up Got some monstaliner inside the cab this was my sons first time doing this and we rolled it so texture isnt the best but in a small truck cab with carpet over it it will due
  3. How about some pics of that 44 esp how you did your gussetts? And some of the pump? I guess ive never seen a viper steer pump swap. I was just wondering the other day if there was any upgrade there.Minus spending the money on a PSC pump.Is it straight bolt on?Any idea if it puts out more volume or?Great job again enjoy your time with your dad.
  4. Nice job young man great idea great job keep at it!Its your truck do what you want with it.
  5. Any of those options are good ones, I don't know if your running larger tires on your jeep or not.But id say find whichever you can with stock 4.10 gears. Then swap in the matching R&P in the front to match the 4.10s.3.07 gearing is pretty anemic no matter what your running. There were several exploders (8.8s) that came with 4.10s and several diff 44 applications too.don't forget the ford 9" too cheap very strong and easy R&P setups.
  6. Yep thats what I was thinkin it was thanks for takin the time to post that.
  7. Ahh ok I think I know now the original post said behind and above.Behind just kept sticking in my head so I was looking there.I have a thin metal bracket up there with a harness attached to it with a self tapping type screw.Thinkn maybe thats it???
  8. If its a bolt that holds the c101 connector id call it the c101 bolt but maybe I'm crazy???.It needs cleaned not removed as said in the post.I was just tryin to figure out where it was so I can clean it while I'm there.I do my own work on my jeeps it involves research and saves me expensive trips to the dealer. What are you asking? There is no C101 "bolt." The C101 connector sits much higher than the brake booster. All '88s had it -- the change to delete it was a mid-year change in the 1989 model year. What "prob" are you referring to? If you mean the C101 connector, it was removed on my '88 XJ and my '88 MJ still has it. I don't see any difference/improvement in the XJ for the $500 I paid a stealership to remove it.
  9. Id go ahead and replace the TPS they are know probs anyway so you know its new.As for the brakes id say do a WJ or XJ MC and booster swap in sounds like one of those is your prob anyway and you get an upgrade while your at it.Theres a big writeup in the DIY section. I'm in the middle of one now I found mine used off a WJ being parted out online for $80 and its been tested.
  10. He posted 1987 thru 1987 renix had the prob did you mean 87 thru 88?I ask because I have an 88 and just pulled the Booster today to do the WJ booster MC and I don't see the c101 bolt thats supposed to be there.Anyone have some pics to post?
  11. I need to fix my cracks along my unibody by the steering box ive read several threads here and there how to do it.I pretty much have it down what I think needs done although mines a little worse someone used the tow hook holes to grab with a chain and ripped those holes open like a popcan.I need to see some pics of several diff cases of cracks/fixes in that area. I can't hardly find any threads with pics. Some links would be great I'm a need to see it done before I tackle it kinda guy all ive ever seen pics of is unibody plating .Thanks in advance
  12. Very cool!Ya your addiction is a bit out of control with the books. :D But its worth it I guess if it educates you on that motor inside and out just messin with ya.I started reading your thread, I love diesels I'm very jealous. I'm thinking maybe my eventual build will get a hopped up TDI VW jetta powerplant instead of a stroked renix well see.I vote keep the clearance lights thats what makes a diesel nothing makes a fullsize rig look better than lights all over it glowing down the hwy why not a little mini rig? Have fun man keep us updated
  13. Subscribed very similar to the direction I'm going I actually was looking at building our 44 the same way.Glad you showed the chevy brake combo I was looking into being able to run a ford dual piston caliper gives me more options.
  14. I will be making and selling bumpers for MJs front and rear but its gunna be next year at some point before I'm ready to sell them.Nates looks like a good starting point and a good simple bumper for MJs.It looks like 75% of the TJ bumpers out there for the most part and they function well. But ya I see a few things I will do different.
  15. Thanks man looks like thats what I needed my search didnt come up with those. :dunce:
  16. Ive researched some on the dakota/durango steering box swap also some on the grand boxinto an mj.But I havent seen much on what years fit best I have seen 99 dakota swaps.Does anyone happen to know the year span of grands and dakotas that work? What about a ratios dakota vs grand are they the same or is one better than the other?
  17. Well its been a bit since ive been back to check your thread had to read couple pages.Great choice on wheels those are one of the sets I was looking at when my buddy became a dealer for them.Exo cage will be great on that truck protect the pretty girl and make her even more beautiful. Will you call me so I can tell you how to do it Id hate for you to ruin the looks. :D Great Job man have fun in Moab! By the way I see you sold the new GY and replacing with coopers? What was the reason for that maybe you already said but I missed it if you did?
  18. I'm having a guy on cherokee forum build mine looks like the 2nd pic you posted but alot cheaper check him out over there in the for sale section. Then ill start buiulding them after that one not that I'm going to copy but I'm not set up in my shop yet.
  19. This is sitting behind my local hyundai dealership I doubt I spelled that correct but I don't care! :D . 91 4.0 HO auto longbed 130k light blue grey interior ac blows cold interior is clean except drivers seat is taped up one panel in the sliding back glass was shot with a bb gun or something and is spider webbed.Light rust on both doors very little on cab corners could be fixed real quick no prob.Has bedliner bumpers are good bed looks very straight I saw a dent in passenger door looks to be a D44 in the rear. They don't know what they want for it salesman was suprised I asked he said around $3000 I'm sure you can drive this thing off for alot less than that someone needs to buy this thing!Ill help if anyone is intrested Id sure like to but bad timing Ive got 4 vehicles now and no room tryin to buy a house.I took some cell pics shoot me a pm I can email or text them to you posting them on here is a pain for me.
