Military Wrapped Springs With Lift, Group Buy
tazer15 replied to Biotex's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I might be in for a set,So what your saying is a front set 4/1 that give 2" of lift in SUA and 3/1 0" lift in SUA correct? My sons thinking about SOA his rear with his 2wd springs and goin leafs in the front to save some cash for now as building his axles is taking most his money. -
I read there is a wiring harness in XJs that runs under the front seats from door to door that runs the electric window and lock controls.I have a set of doors from one to put on the MJ be nice to just have that for plug and play install if anyone has one let me know.

Ok so I bought another manche but for myself this time figured id start a thread. For several reasons #1 my son drives our Hemi WK everyday to school and were trying to sell it hard to do when its never here.#2 Better MPG for him until his is MJs done.#3 I need a mpg DD here soon because I'm swapping tons into my Rubi.#4 Their cool I'm addicted and it was priced right :shake:. Its an 88 2wd swb I got it for $900 PO wanted a bit more for it but was nice enough to work with me on the price being close to xmas and 2 other builds going on moneys tight. This build will be very slow because of the 2 projects that take priority and we need to drive this.I will start by doing the following odds and ends floorboard, cleaning, paint,Brakes,Bedliner, turn siginals etc etc.Later will include AW4 NP231 (Thanks Brett) HP D44/9" lockers,Longarm,97+swap,Motor(Renix stroker,4bt or VW TDI) Here it is as we bought it saturday 88 auto 100k new tires, plugs, wires, glasspack, headliner, seat reupolstered, valvecover gasket, nothing special but very good shape and low miles. The drivers floorboard is shot def the worst part ill getto rig it and order a new floor pan soon. My beautiful wife looking over my purchase shaking her head :wall:

Very nice close to the direction were goin.I'm gunna to steal some of your tube lines add them to mine. :D Do you have any more pics/info on the skid, link mounts, etc?I'm still trying to figure out how I wanna do mine. Id love to double triangulate the front (dump the trackbar) but between the unibody and space limitation I'm leaning against it. -
Theres an extra fan you say?where did you put it?i have a 2000/2001 set of WJs I'm raiding for parts id lile to see if I can run one of thier pumps to get more volume.

I need to get a few more update pics taken this week I'm a little further along than my pics show but this is the most of it. I'm also working on the inside of the fire wall while I'm at it.Did some dotco sanding then used some naval jelly and purple power to clean things up a bit.I will be using chassis saver for this area on both sides as I said before this stuff is better than POR it will not rust thru it period! Getting started on the other side which isnt near as bad just that small hole it will get a temp patch then chassis saved till another time.

Ha and those are pics from my new phone much better.Anyone think I should resize are they too big now? Stared pulling everything off the firewall and driverside fenderwell were doing a WJ MC/BB swap replacing the slave and fixing all the wiring rust etc around the fuse box.I'm going to sandblast this whole area bought a HF blaster yesterday took me 2 hrs to put it together you have to be real stupid to fig out the instructions the pics were drawn in crayon and the photo copied a million times. :headpop:

Just started moving in got it setup slowly but its coming around I bought some lighting, heater, built a couple work benches ran across a free fridge. Were BIG TIME NOW! Started painting the actual truck used the Flat black here on the windshield channels More pics of cleaning and sanding of the front axle and steering during this time we upgraded the tierod and draglink to a V8 grand cherokee setup. Also bought some new rotors . This is the effects of an oil leak that obviously wasnt fixed for years I soaked it all in purple power you can see it working some in the pics it did an amazing job.A couple of treatments with that and the garden hose and it was pretty damn clean! Painted up my old stock rubicon shocks for the front

Sanded down the inside of the roof it was rusting under the headliner and repainted with rustoleum don't remember the name of the actual kind but it stops rusting and creates a paintable surface.Ive been using this alot it dries really smooth and looks good just by itself in flatblack. went to work on the Brakes and all the rust on the axles springs etc My son (his truck) doin some work Pis don't do justice of how much sanding we did here we were sanding with dotcos grinders paper everything we had for 2 weekends.Bought some new calipers painted them up.The truck will be black with this green accented.
