  1. i just looked at all the pics you added. crazy!! nice work!
  2. i know i'm kind of hijacking this thread, but i am having the same probmem. ive hit the starter many times, and still, only a click. i've tested the battery in another vehicle, and it works. i've cleaned the ground on the motor, and the terminals on the battery. any other ideas i could try? i'm thinking of just pulling the starter out. everything else works fine, including the lights, cd player, and subwoofer.
  3. ^^^ off of Tom Woods's site
  4. if you trim you can. remember, the difference between 3.5 and 4 inches is only half an inch, which isnt that much.
  5. you should put an AW4 in there. :brows:

    Year question

if you have one, try to replace the solenoids. the solenoids are easy, but putting the pan back on is a pain in the kiester. i love the AW4. you can wire up a switch panel, like i did and make it like a manual tranny.
  13. ive done the swap to 1995 XJ 297x shafts, but I'm wondering what you have done about the seal on the disco side. there are a few options ive read about...just wondering what others have done.
  14. theres a place in lowell MA. i think its L&M spring? ive googled them, but can't find a number or site. ive seen it on dump truck mud flaps though.
  15. would this still be an issue with manual lockouts like he said? won't matter on the road, but offroad it will unless you plan on unlocking your hubs every five seconds. that makes sense. thx man
  16. would this still be an issue with manual lockouts like he said?
  17. holy rust batman!
  18. thats a manual tranny. AW4 stayed through 01.
  19. not sure if this is relavant, but i unplugged the vaccume hoses from the back of the transfer case, and lost fuel pressure. plugged them back in, and i had pressure.
  20. dumb question, but how do i do that?
  21. DOH. still won't start. i fixed the no fuel in the rail problem, but my battery had no more juice to crank the starter. i charged it, and i still get a clicking sound. tried the batt on the XJ and it worked fine (started and all). ive tried jumping the solenoid on the starter...click. i replaced the starter relay (next to the battery), out of my 1990 XJ, and click. i tried hitting the starter with a hammer many times...click. I'm getting annoyed, and frusterated. any other ideas?
  22. PORC has springs for $100
  23. correct me if I'm wrong, but i think he got gears done...no paint.
  24. i'd like it better if it matched the paint. i bet they are spensive though.
  25. John, that looks amazing. i love the 97+ front with the rubi wheels. once its finished, it will be a beautiful truck! get a new computer mitch!
