I've asked about jeeps in people's yard but not with the idea of buying there rusty gold. But this is about what I would say: Hi I'm sorry to bother you I was wondering if you could help me out? Great my name is _______ and my parents live in the neighborhood, you've heard of ______ before right? Great well I saw your jeep out in the yard there and just wanted to stop buy and take a look at it. I've always enjoyed these things and would love to see another one. (Get into the back story of yours just a tad bit to build some repour then get into how they got the jeep). After getting as much back story as needed like how long it's been sitting there and what not remind them that it's sad to see things like that rot. Ask what the wife thinks about it yada yada then say hey look I wouldn't mind taking it off of your hands. That way its out of your way, I have another project that won't ever be done and you'll also have some more $ in your pocket. So when would be a good time for you for me to pick it up Monday or Tuesday? Thanks a bunch for your time and such. You get the idea. Sell them on the fact that it's just sitting there rotting, the $ they get can help out with bills and you can move it for them with out having to worry about it again. Go on cars.com and look for either the XJ 8.25 or Ford 8.8 with 4:10's. Finding any lower gears for rear won't be so hard however finding a Dana 30 with lower gears and HP will be VERY hard. A XJ/MJ rear Dana 44 is kinda hard to come by, kinda pricy, and VERY hard to find with 4:10's. Also finding a 4:10 geared ford 8.8 with LSD should be very easy todo. You "should" beable to find and put in both the front and rear axles for $600 and under. However things like this tend to nickle and dime people to death sonwatch out and good luck. Brandon Oh and yes there is one car with every thing you might want that would be a XJ 4 banger newer, auto, with the 8.25 in it. But always check gearing befor just assuming what you have.

I'm 90% sure that the right one is always just the cab/cargo light switch and the left one is both the fog lights and the roll bar /sport bar lights. Brandon

Ok here we go, First I went with a supper sweet jeep couple Bonnie and keven who both own TJ's?. They are part of http://hardcorejeepers.com kevsn the day before let me do some "rock crawling" in there yard trail. Sadly not tomany pictures of that but I am in my work uniform :D It was enjoyable since I've never done it before. Ur I felt bad because I hit a tree :( but didn't hurt any thing. After that I got to help Bonnie wash her AMAZING jeep. Here are a few pics of it all cleaned up :D After that I left and went home. Saterday morning I went to pick up another jeep pal and meet up with them. Then I got pulled over for no tag lights... No ticket :banana: that would make the 14th time for me being pulled over still no tickets :D from there we were off and stopped at flying J and snapped this pic (poor poor people :drool: ) And from there we were off to Ocala. Here are a few pics while we were there (MJ's first :D ) I love the good vents I've seen this bumper before on here and LOVE IT I saw maybe two more MJ's there but didn't snap any pics. Here are just a few high light of every thing. The folks I went with It was a blast! I know that next year I'll be there in MY jeep :yes: Brandon

What are your plans for your truck when you finish it? MPG should never be a factor when trying to figure out if your going to drop a diesel in because you will most likely never recoup the costs. Oh and the poll is broken :( Brandon
