  1. if its an early '96 it might work. youre going to need to find out if its an obd1 or obd2 compliant vehicle.
  2. a multimeter is cheap at harbor freight. like $5 on sale. a u-pull-it yard will be cheap for a alternator and battery. i got a nearly new autocraft silver for $25 at my local yard a few weeks ago.
  3. wonder how this compares: http://cgi.ebay.com/10-Sq-Ft-Sound-Dead ... ltDomain_0
  4. the "protecto wrap" looks much thinner than dynamat. did he mention how it worked out?
  5. i have been planning an upgrade on my head lights as well. the autopal housings are popular over on naxja. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/79-01-JE ... ccessories fitchVA from naxja has the best write-up on the harness upgrade. http://fitchva.com/jeep/?p=48
  6. i wish you wouldnt have posted that. i just spent the last half hour watching axial cherokee videos.
  7. finding a spring should be the easy part. http://www.google.com/products?q=radiator+hose+spring you said you changed the water pump. was it a high flow pump before and after?
  8. the xj senders do work. I'm sure any obd1 xj sender unit will work with your gauge if you have a '91 like me or then renix with renix . from what ive read, its the length of the unit that poses the problem. the mj tank is too deep for the xj pump/sender unit. the xj unit doesnt reach down into the tank far enough. theres a guy on here that modded the xj unit to compensate for this. am i correct on this? if not, someone please clear this up.
  9. What if you don't like them? Are the bushing the same outside dimension that you could use MJ bushings in place of the Waggy? If it were me, and with my luck, I'd put the packs in, not like them, and end up wondering what to do with the bigger holes on the truck. :dunno: if in fact there was a difference in bolt size and drilling had been done, washers could be welded to the outside of the stock hangers or it would be a good excuse to upgrade to beefier hangers. at least the hangers arent of the same design as XJ hangers. then you would have more of an issue. trust me. anyway, please do this swap. i am very interested.
  10. lots of info here: www.jeepstrokers.com theres a forum on the head conversion.
  11. the bell housing should be the same and the TCU is the same part number. don't see why it wouldnt work.
  12. i saw that this morning. 8 people dead. crazy.
  13. the mirrors are good but given the choice i would take the whole doors.
  14. got any pictures of your drop brackets?
  15. as far as a kit goes the rusty's 4.5" SOA kit doesnt look too bad. would be better with some LCA drop brackets but it does have an adjustable track bar.
  16. how did you test for no spark? did you try a different coil? is there a check engine light?
  17. Honestly, i don't like either of those kits. The rocky road kit doesnt come with control arms or drop brackets. your stock arms will be at too much of an extreem angle. your ride will suck bad. the rough country kit is an add-a-leaf kit and they alway tend to sag over time. you would do better to peice a suspension system together yourself. you can use any of the cherokee stuff for the front. you will need springs or a combination of spacers and springs, longer control arms and/or drop brackets, shocks, adjustable track bar or some method for relocating it, sway bar drop or longer links. then do an SOA for the rear.
  18. i would say it depends on how much rust there is in the floors.
  19. shark

    wheel spacers

speedway motors carrys some that a pretty affordable. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Universal ... ,3442.html you might need to get some longer lugs depending how thick you go but speedway carrys those too.
  20. exactly what i plan to run. did you get one with the discs? what year did it come off of?
  21. wow, sorry to hear man. thats a horrible situation.
  22. I am not a fan of chrome. different strokes. the lower grill is standard on srt8 grand cherokees. ...and Go Gators!
  23. if you say so. :hmm:
  24. why not just use paypal? its easy to set up and is the safest way to buy stuff online.
  25. those are some beefy looking shock mounts. what gears will you have in that 8.8?
