  1. Jcr attached two light tabs on the backside. I'm thinking 12" led bar in the future
  2. Still short a driver side fender but hopefully ill have one in a few days
  3. 4 hi isn't a climbing gear. I also say you didn't have the correct gears to pull you up. Just straight lack of power so it stalls. i can ride trails for hours on a quarter tank. I never stall and when flexing around it goes below E.
  4. I wonder how bad the rust is...
  5. It seems as if Ive posted my story somewhere on here in one of these threads before... :hmm: Anyway, the short version is, I was looking for a two door cherokee 97+, which isnt an easy task around here. I looked and looked but nothing. Then one day I stumbled across the MJ on CL. It was camo'd out but I liked it. I contacted the guy and he said the ad should of been deleted but he still had it. It was 4 hours away but I was hooked. The following weekend I went and picked it up. It actually made the drive back home and with all the looks I got, I knew I had something special. I will own at least one more in the future!
  6. Looks like I'm getting off my @$$ on this one. The driver side fender was too beat up to use on the donor xj but I've got all the rest of the pieces
  7. here is the fender after its been "massaged" back into place... sort of.. all rear mounting points were broken off. oh well, maybe ill get off my @$$ and do the 97 clip swap thankfully the comanche badge wasnt broken
  8. p.s. buckshot tires blow balls... that spare was a traction lacking piece of $#!&!
  9. here's a few, nothing special but better than nothing  hiding out slid off my line and both diffs hung after that this damn bush thing kept following me around sadly it fell off when the going got tough :rotfl2:
  10. made it back home safely. we went back to Hawk Pride in north western Alabama. ive said it before and ill say it again, a very awesome place. there are a few pics ill get from the clubs page and hopefully a lot of video of me since a buddy had a go pro deal hooked on his cage facing me the whole time. we'll see as far as carnage, i almost ripped off my front pass fender, crush in the driver side cab corner (just had to match the pass side) and put a nice big ole slice in one of my side walls on a new trail the club cut there. then the bed got dented up from a tree. it rained a little and Alabama clay does not play. its nasty and slick as @#$%. hence some of my damage.
  11. Well apperantly I ovaled out the ears on my front axle shafts last run. So instead of leaving on my next trip this weekend, I get to replace both shafts this morning before I roll out. Yay!......
  12. I think I'm going with those bedsides as well in the future. Could you post up some more pics if possible. Also do have information on where you ordered from. Theres two Hannemann sites, both with different numbers.
  13. Nice! Yeah I often worry about my rear shaft. It gets spun on more $#!& than you'd believe. I've got a spare though ;)

    Welders

I'm finally buying my own welder (sick of bumming around). Id like to know what you guys would suggest. Trying to keep price around 800 or less range. Mig probably. Mainly doing welding for the jeep and possible tractor equipment at work. I'm not looking to go all out as its just a hobby thing but I don't want a piece of crap either. As of now I'm looking at the Hobart 190. I'm open to suggestions, opinions, criticism, whatever... Have at it
  15. ive also done it, twice, with just one other person. i can fully agree with previous statements. its slightly difficult. four people would be the best option.
  16. man that thing is awesome. i wish you would of gotten more pics! i hope you talked to him and told him about the club
  17. Man that is a sweet manch! Even like the blaster in the bed. I've been wishing I could do the 2500 clip swap
  18. We picked up lots of snow and ice, so I had to play. Then of course I promptly got stuck Thankfully the power company was getting stuck around the area as well, so tractors were driving around pulling them (and us) out. I had to wrap to the axle and it just made me want to get that rear recovery point situation sorted even more
  19. Superlift ORV park, Hot Springs AR hanging around lol
  20. Thanks. My build is nothing special really. Kind of doing my own thing and using lots of ideas off the net of course lol. I can't wait to finally decide on what to do with the bed myself haha. It's a tough choice. Keep it and go prerunner look or ditch it and go truggy.... Tough one I tell ya! Anyway this past weekends trip was good. We ran level 4s nonstop again. I beat the hell out of the mj and it did awesome. I didn't break anything (big surprise) but to date I've never had any real trail breaks. Maybe good luck, good driving skills, a combo of the two..? I don't know lol I did however smack my transfer case HARD several times. Can't believe I didn't at least crack it or something. It's time for a skid though that's for sure! I've got a few pics but only about five or so. Ill post up when I'm near a computer.
  21. Four beers and an hour so later, a buddy had the drivers burned in. @#$%in a
  22. Ill take a few pics but its hard when your driving all time lol. Got the one side slider in. Not burned in but in place. Way better once I cut and fit instead of that bull$#!& test fit lol
  23. I got a little frisky with the cut off tool. First cut. Full of three different color soil samples and lots of rocks. Cleaned up and after more cutting Hopefully I can finish it before this weekends run LOL
  24. nothing serious for me. once in my old street junker 97 5spd maxima the radiator decided to blow up at 130mph at 2am flying through downtown memphis. it wasnt a big deal but at the time i was running hoodless. its was definitely a "oh $#!& moment" for sure when all the sudden i heard BOOM, then $#!& pinging everywhere and couldnt see out the windshield going that fast haha
  25. one i remember off the top of my head. timken unit bearings. autozone 126 bucks, rockauto, 66 bucks. so i got two for a little more than the price of one. that might be one example but i know there are others. I'm a cheap @$$, so i only buy from places where i know I'm saving money or getting a deal.
