  1. I may but it’s not well kept. most up to date is on Instagram same user name @rowdy89mj i don’t do well with remembering to take or post updates. just finished up a dyno tune and it’s at 550 hp and funny gas is available
  2. Likely the Fastest one that’s in Louisiana
  3. I’m in Lafayette with a fast mj
  4. @1988comanche novak has a good write up on swaps and general information. Such as the difference in weight of the engines. ICT billet has a bunch of good information on ls swaps and components to use. I have a nitrous ls build that’s running low 11s in the 1/4 mile. Running a ford 8.8 rear with 4.11s (lkq sells whole rear ends out of explorers that will fit for $200) with a set of Caltracs and adjustable ranchero shocks stock leafs. And nittos ftw. This thing does NOT spin at the track and does so extremely well on the street I constantly beat up on much higher hp builds.
  5. How you fit that turbo in there is awesome. I have no room for a catch can on my swap much less turbos.
  6. I’ve had a few problems with my Novak rad setup ( I’m on my 3rd one.) But they’ve always been great with customer service and replaced it for free. the latest redesign has kept my truck cooler than ever. 180° cruising to the track I topped out at 204 hot lapping the drag strip and drive home at 180. atleast you got the issue resolved, unfortunate about how it came about though.
  7. Are you doing anything for a trans cooler?
  8. It’s petrolvibes.com* it’s made from 2mm steel sheet that’s laser cut
  9. When the Instagram adds catch your eye got these outlines made from petrovibes.com
  10. Yea very cool video!
  11. I also added a temp sensor to the bottom of the Novak radiator and have my fans running off of that sensor rather than the temp sensor in the head, you can have a significant difference in radiator temps vs head temps
  12. I have the Novak radiator (they have recently come up with a new core design, that is smaller but yet more efficient.) I have a stock Jeep condenser and an aftermarket tranny cooler in front of my radiator. I usually run 180s but can get up to 212. I have my fans maxing out between 190 and 202. Even running ac on a hot and humid Louisiana day. another idea to help burb the system is to leave that tall overflow on over night after a hot soak to let the air make its way out the system.
  13. So far the temps are fine (180-200°) with 80°+ outside did an hour highway drive and all day in city with no issues. hopefully the Louisiana summer doesn’t cause any problems.
  14. Installed Novak radiator #3 this week. I had about 3000 miles on each of them So far 2 of them has had a leak at the core. Novak has a new designed core, to help with this issue. the new design is MUCH smaller. 3/4” thinner and almost a inch shorter!
  15. They have a forum you fill out, they make it specifically for your application, and it is no extra cost. I have a ford 8.8 rear end with the disk brake conversion and 4.10s so my setup is not like many other jeeps.
  16. Another wonderful year at cruisin the coast. so many bad @$$ rides, and the weather was perfect. I got my wife to try a burnout for the first time, for the burnout comp. I found some special tires for the event
  17. Picked up a donor for the front clip/ interior swap. Problem is, it’s so clean and I can very easily fix it. But I got it so cheap, there’s no way I could do this swap any cheaper. maybe I build a 6.0 LS for my truck and put the 5.3 and 4wd in the Cherokee for the wife🤷🏻‍♂️
  18. Headliner from @a1500ram installed and it fits great. installed some sounds deadening material first. Very happy with how it came out. featuring corvette seats 🤌🤌
  19. @89 MJ thanks, I thought it was a nice touch as well.. not a lot of people outside of the racing/off road world know what traction bars are for so it is lost on lots of them. but yea the ones who get it have a nice laugh. @pago cruiser oh yea racing and anything automotive is directly related to how big the check book is. the right weather and a few small upgrades and Frankenstein mods should get me close to my goal. the lining is a heat shield, you can really feel the exhaust, engine/ trans heat radiating through the floor after the swap. I have some sound deadening inside under the vinyl flooring as well. It can still get warm in there but it’s tolerable. I gotta be careful where I put my groceries in the bed also, that still gets very warm from the exhaust.
  20. @fiatslug87 this is the Caltracs before the pvc “upgrade”
  21. The pvc is a joke. the bar under it is called traction bars from Caltrac. it’s to prevent axle wrap also known as wheel hop. with the little bit of weight we have in the back it causes the wheel hop and this system completely eliminates it. And a byproduct of it is it multiplies the downforce of the rear tires and helps traction tremendously.
  22. Yesterday I did a shakedown day, drove 150+miles and then ran it 3 passes at the track. got over 10mpg, no breaks, and happened to win all the races! cruising the coast is in 2 weeks and it’s a week of abuse I put on the truck. I plan on doing a lot of racing, and I’m going to do the burnout competition. I added a drive shaft safety loop, and some pvc pipe over my traction bars- I think it’s a pretty funny trick IMG_0659.MOV
