I have a ok write up on removable and tube doors in my project thread and eventually i am going to make my tube doors into full trail doors with a skin and hopefully window cause the cops on base told me i needed a skin so couldnt fall out  they are just stupid. Cole
  2. thanks alot i will lok at the re ones Cole
  3. I was just looking at the link for the Air system and i have looked elsewhere but does anyone know where i can get a regulator for a c02 tank so i can use it for my truck and sell my OBA i have now??? I might post this in tech since i jacked my own thread. :D Cole
  4. Here are some links i ran across i thought looked kinda nice. Check out some of the bumpers in the first ones and the prices are decent i think. http://www.protofab4x4.com/products.php?ID=05 http://www.offroadwarehouse.com http://www.4x4groupbuy.com/store/index.php http://www.allthingsjeep.com/ http://www.offroadair.net/home.html http://www.jawsgear.com http://www.premierpowerwelder.com Just thought i would share Cole
  5. I think regional would work the best and you might even concider having two senior members being kinda moderators over there section of the region. Its something to help develope the site and if it don't work out then you can just delete it right?? Cole
  6. I was just going to see if you got those messurements as of yet. I seen this had slipped way down so i was thinking you might have forgot since you didnt see it. Cole
  7. What if we made different chapters of comancheclub so that we know hows in our area and we can start wheeling and such together. I was just thinking that alot of us have no clue were alot of the others are and wheel at mostly and maybe we can get more events with a big croud of Manches there if we do this. I think this forum has the ablility to have select groups in it and that could be the identifier. Just a random thought i had i figured i would lay out there. Cole
  8. OK the3 TB will fit but only the newer motors. The 4.0 throttle body is for a MPI motor and the 2.5 found in most late 80s if not all are TBI so you can't do the swap but i got a idea of power for you. Its a Avenger supercharger for the 2.5 at about $4500 you can have the power of a 4.0 and it only runs 5 Pounds of boost and gets those numbers. No other upgrade needed due to low boost but a hell of alot more fun to be had. The website is http://www.avengersuperchargers.com check it out just for giggles. Oh yeah you have to cut the hood for it to fit it was originally designed for the YJ. Cole
  9. Kinda speaking out of my field of knowledge on the Chain driven cases but can't you put a lower Low in it and be better of and possibly cheaper. Plus less wieght and hassle???? I was just thinking since you drive it on the street so much that it could be a better option. If you can't thats good info but if you can I might try it. Good luck Cole
  10. When i ran the homemade tractor arm setup it was heim at both ends and worked but rode really ruff on the street. Maybe its there for comfort. I just am leary about going with a fegular heim style again for the street. But i want better flex then a bushing could give. I have thought ov replacing my stock axle mount with one a company makes that has a flex joint in it and excepts stock arms. I am leaning toward that but if I can find a good flex joint that will fit in the stock pocket on the frame i would prefer that for now. Ill wait till Pong gets the messurements and see if the ones he has works. Cole
  11. I thought that was why you were going so high. When your done and i get back and get mine done i think alot of us are planning a Gulches Trip. Its a nice Park and its Privately owned. Maybe you can tag along with us. ;) Cole
  12. Why are you going so high for 36"ers. I run 35s with about 7"s and i cut my fenders alot but they stuff as far as i felt like the coils needed to. You might want to relook that not trying to be a @$$ but I don't kow if you would like it with a cog so high. It would prob do better lower since the tendicy to flip would be dramatically lower. I don't know i just thought i would throw that idea out there. You know what your wanting out of it. Cole
  13. Bushwackers will work but are you sure you like the looks of them and the price  I used TJ ones and cut my fenders so they fit like they belonged you can check my project thread and see how they look and they can be found cheap. Cole
  14. Are you joining now or coming to the sand box??? If you are going to basic Let me know where you get stationed. You may be in SC or NC and we can wheel together... Cole
  15. So they last longer and are better in the flex department. I think i might get them. You think they will do good on the street. Are the ones they list without studs the same and what is the 2.63 messurement of is IT the width cause that is the messurement i need?? Will they fit in the stock UCA hole?? Thanks for the help Cole
  16. That change also marks when CDX finally decided to do some major changes on the Jeeps they were still producing. They made the CDX instead of half amc and half CDX. Just some info i discovered while writing a jeep history research paper in High school. ;) Cole
  17. No i think he has a V8 in his MJ well at least one of them.... :D Cole
  18. Just think of all your hours of wrok in getting it so nice GONE for nothing!!!!!!!!!! Also think abotu when you need to just unwind by working on the MJ that would be GONE....... Cole
  19. OK I'm am leanring alot hear. I have learned that Third arms from a tractor heim joints are loud and ruff riding. I made my lowers out of these in high school and quickly swapped them for real ones. The reason i was thinking a Poly bushing instead of a johnny joint is cause My MJ is driving on street more then off road due to me having to use it as my DD and from what i read the johnny joints provide a ruff ride and wear out quickly on the street. I was thinking since i could use a poly bushing and a threaded rod it would cause me to flex better then stock and give me the correct and adjustable length for my uppers so my axle sits correctly. And no freerock i can't view the Vid but i will try later on a diff comp the i have to pay to use. Thanks for the info Cole
  20. What about a ploy version of the stock bushing with a stud on it. Its going to thread into the arm so it should get all the flex it needs from having the threads???? Cole
  21. Oooo, I hope that's not an apology for asking questions. Cause I'd hate to have to refer you to our forum rules. :D Thats no a apology thats a thank you. :D Cole
  22. do D44s or D30s out of MJs have a crush sleeves. I was think the 30 does but If so where do i find the crush sleeve eliminator. Cole
  23. Ok I'm fabbing up upper control arms i wanted to know what rod ends you like the best for this application. I am trying to get my parts lined up and ready when i get back to the states cause i have a ride planned for Sept and want all my projects done on the MJ i cna get done. So lets hear what you have and how it worked and if you found a good deal let me know where to shop and such. Thanks again for dealing with the onslot of questions. Cole
  24. yeah I guess i will stick to the lockrite. Its not been bad having i acctually like it alot but i think i would like having a spool. Your prob right though alot more easier to brake then and i don't like that. Thanks guys for talkign me out of this mistake. Cole
