  1. nope, my axles are from 1999 Cherokee, at least that's what the PO said. I think I just need to pull the cover off, I might find some ring bolts backing out. the weird thing is the noise only comes under load, typically up hill, and only in 4WD. Who knows?
  2. How did you connect the controller cable to the relay assembly? Pics please and thank you!
  3. This topic came at a great time, my buddies Warn 8000 lb winch "died" so he bought a new one and gave me the dead one. Symptoms were winch reels out fine but not in. totally a relay problem but he bought the new winch before digging into it, anyway bummer for him, yeah for me. If I use one of the replacement relays as shown how does the controller connect to it?
  4. When I put mine in 4wd and climb hills the front end makes a "rollercoaster" chain noise, I can't seem to pin it down, and nothing has broke yet so when I'm out wheeling, I just turn up the SLAYER!!!!
  5. Right on bruddah!!
  6. As long as you can get to the winch spool a hidden mount is great. But if it's just tucked away and you have to dissasemble the bumper to get to the winch mechanisim you might be in a pickle if the cable gets bound up in the woods. It even may be problematic when you are winding your rope/cable in when you are done winching, checking or maintaning the cable/rope Anyways when I was wheeling every weekend in my Scrambler, unexcpeted "winch maintenance" seemd to ocuur quite ofthen for me and my trail mates, usually at the worst possible time. #YMMV #freeunwantedadvise
  7. Especially if you're running headers, the 1/8" Remflex gaskets fill the irregularities nicely, and keep em filled!
  8. REMFLEX FTW!!!! The last manifold gasket you will ever need Nice MJ as well
  9. Thanks guys, I don't have any questions, I was just hoping if the owner was a member he'd buy us pizza since he's so famous, lol Also thats a pretty hollywood pose right there.
  10. I just got this in an email, who's MJ is this? Looks pretty nice to me
  11. 89 MJ beat me to it, leaf springs are not good for rock crawling, unless you like to hammer down all the time, which has it's place

When I bought my Comanche it had a nest in the AC box, which I cleaned out and life was grand. Now I live in the sticks and have a barn to keep it (and my 69 Mach 1 Mustang) in and over the winter the friggin mice have moved in and p****d up both interiors. I know I am not going to be able to get rid of the mice, I live around blueberry fields and pastures, so mice are just part of life here. So I am wondering what y'all do to keep em out of your rigs? I've heard that strobe lights/noisemakers can help but I am not sure, I'd rather cut to the chase, if possible, lemme know folks cause after I pull the interior apart Again I don't want to revisit the stench.
  17. That's a great buy in price!
  18. I don't remember, exactly but it was a great price considering they are the only one making these!
  19. Based on the amount of fluid on your pitman arm you might want to make sure your steering box isn't bad. Check the fluid first see how much you lose over time. The symptom description sounds like the death wobbles, which narrows it down to all your front steering/track bar, stabilizer shock, mounts. how hard can it be?
  20. Is the body itself cracked or rusted through? It just looks like your bushings and the metal plate the sit on are in bad shape. If you front springs have finally started to sag then yea you might want to get some spacers, but I would suggest against the poly ones, or at least the hard poly bushings. I put hard poly bushings on my CJ8 years ago and over time, while the did not go bad, anywhere they met the body of my Jeep, the metal cracked since poly does not give like rubber does. If you can get a 1" spacer and an OEM bushing that might do ya proper, now and over the next 15 years.
  21. gle-SX4 is correct, I got mine from them and it works great, they are a great company to deal with.
  22. I was able to get badges off junk yard Comanches using putty a knife, they came off in one piece. With that said since you have the luxury of doing this at home, definitely apply some heat, that adhesive is strong.
  23. It is good to know other people pay attention to the lessons learned in Science fiction, as with many things sci-fi becomes reality, Think Star Trek: communicators/tricorders = cell phones, there are so many other things that became reality, why should the AI result be any different? I just hope we can count on a Capt Kirk to blow AIs mind when it comes down to it:
