Nice finds! It's a shame to see that MJ sitting there though, looks to be in really good shape yet. If you happen to come across a 4 headlight Waggy front end, you should let me know, I'm looking for one. :brows:

The one I don't ride anymore is a 1999 25th anniversary Mongoose Sniper in lime green. The last one I seen on Ebay a few years ago was in worse shape than mine (mine is all original and very minimal scratches (I keep it inside my apartment)) and it went for $5,700. I know it's not an accurate judge of how much it's actually worth, but regaurdless, I don't want to risk damaging it. My beat around bike is a newer Mongoose (Wal-Mart special that to me isn't even a real Mongoose) Hoop D that is already pretty beat up. You have any pics of that Supergoose? I always loved them things for some reason.

Thanks for the reminder of my past capabilities! I can't ride like that any more, but about 10-15 years ago I was real good. I tried to ride again last summer and failed miserably. It was still fun to get back on a bike and ride though. Thankfully I have my good bike that I'll never ride again (worth a lot of money) and my worthless bike that I can trash all I want to. Now you have me wishing it was summer again, so I can get out and ride again.

Sounds familiar to me. My XJ is like that too, except on occasion 4lo will actually work, and I don't have the CAD locked yet. So, with that in mind, I can't help you, as I have no clue either. :fool:

Did you check the tracbar in front and swaybar in back? Also, what kind of whining are you getting? Low pitch, high pitch, constant, intermittent, etc.?

You are correct, the MJ's could come with either the striping or just the emblems. It wasn't a Cherokee only thing. Just that most came with the stripings. Also if I remember correctly, the Olympic Edition MJ's were primarily all Pioneers, but had the special gold pinstriping and got the Pioneer emblems along with the USA Olympic logo. I have been wrong in the past though, so don't quote me on that.

As far as I know, the only way to still get one is from either ebay or craigslist. I have been known to be wrong in the past though, so I wouldn't rely on my thoughts too heavily.

You painted over the chrome? If I would have known you were going to do that, I could have traded you the grille and headlight bezels off of Baby, as I want to have her in chrome. I personally like the first paint job you had on it, with the white paint, it's different and stands out.

My deck was free (from a friend that upgraded), the subs were $80 each, the amp I actually found in a junkyard car for $25, and the friend that gave me the deck built the boxes and gave me the wiring for $20. So, all told I only had $205 into it :brows: . Sold the subs and boxes off so I could afford a water pump for her.

Wow, I vanish for not even two weeks and come back to seeing Darren with an XJ too? :eek: What is happening in this crazy JeepLand nowadays? One person jumps off the bridge and we all follow? :nuts: Looks like a good solid rig, and a very stable starting point. Can't wait to see the progress, and like those above me have said, keep up with the pics and whatnot on here as well.

lucky cousin :D Definitely lucky. He had a row 7 seat nearest turn 2, where most of the good action happened. He said he has a bunch of pics he's going to post when he gets home, so I can't wait.

Sat here in the hospital watching the 500 while on the phone with one of my cousins that was AT the 500!

I had you beat by .1 dB in Baby, back when she had a stereo in it. It was just a little old Pioneer head unit, 2 12" Kicker Comp VR4's in small boxes, and a 300W amp (yes, that's all the amp was, and the dB was verified via a dB drag I was in). There's pics of the setup on here somewhere, but I don't really want (or have the time to) dig them up right now. I can add them again if need be when I get home later this week.
