  1. It's possible that he did a 3.4L swap; highly unlikely, but a vague possibility.
  2. Correct, my little brother caught me in the ribs with his head. Being that I have weak bones already, it was bound to happen. Good luck Pat, hope all goes well and they give you some good pain meds. :brows:
  3. No go for me, I'll still be taking it easy. Found out yesterday that I have a separated rib; right where the bone and cartilage meet. Doc said It'll take about 3 months to heal properly.
  4. I'll let Wade tell the story about that pic Dave. :clapping:
  5. Just got my pics up, and now laying in bed, nursing at the very least a bruised rib, might now be cracked, but life goes on. Anyways, here's the link to the pics I took.
  6. If Pat doesn't beat me to it, I have a TON of pics, including a few of his axle. I'm sitting at Geonovast's place right now, and forgot to bring my camera cord with me, so it'll have to wait until I can get home and get them loaded up. Was a great time though, just sucks we had to leave. :brows:
  7. Ready to rock on this end. Just gotta do final packing tomorrow to make sure i got everything I need, then headed to Geonovast's place as a halfway point, then off again on Friday to meet up with everyone. :jump:
  8. $2.74 here today.
  9. Yep, I pulled a phoenix move; rose from the ashes. :clapping:
  10. Sorry man, I got $50 left, and I have it figured to be about $45 one way. If I had enough to get there and back, I'd gladly go the rest of the month flat broke. I'm hoping yet this summer, as I have a grant request in through the CFLF (Cystic Fibrosis Lifestyle Foundation) for $500. It's also a recreational grant, so they know exactly what I'd be using it for.
  11. Sorry to say, I can't make it no more. Just went over my checking account, and I'd make it down to Pat's, but I wouldn't be able to get back. :headpop:
  12. There's one up here like that as well. And if everyone came up here, it would save me a trip. Sorry, I'll go to sleep now, been fighting sleep for almost 2 hours now.
  13. Probably nothing as usual, but doubtful I'd be able to borrow a vehicle though. Plus, I don't want to overuse my mom's boyfriend's old car while I still owe him money for my MJ15.
  14. The only way a couple days notice would work with me is if I had my own vehicle reliable enough to make the trip, and I had enough money. In other words, best for me would be around mid/late August or early/mid September at earliest to be safe.
  15. I hope you're not melting it! :chillin:
  16. The 2.1L Renault diesel was only available in '86 in the Comanches. Also, the 4BTA swap has been done a couple times, in fact there's a member here (MJ4BTA) that has done the swap and posted pics and whatnot.
  17. :rotf: I, as well as a few others on here are lowering or have lowered our trucks. Nothing wrong with it, and in your case, might be the best bet so you don't have to go through the alignment process on the front end again.
  18. IF I still have the car then, and permission to take it down, and if Pat is going, I'll be along this time. :clapping:
  19. Very nice. Always great to see anouther saved and fixed up Comanche. Welcome to the insanity that is known as ComancheClub.
  20. DEFINITELY check your tracbar on both ends. I had the shakes as you're describing and it turned out that it was just the frame side mount had a couple bolts loose.
  21. You can see it in the first one too, it's up by the truckbox. :huh???: I think you mean it can be seen in the second one too. :wavey:
  22. No news here yet, still working things out with a time frame that will work. Although, thanks to Geonovast, I now have an idea on how to implement a tonneau cover with my racerback. I'm gonna use his idea of using XJ roof rack rails on the inside of the bed and use casters similar to a keyboard shelf on a computer desk. With this, I'll be able to attach a tonneau cover from anouther truck to the casters, hinge it right after the racerback, and use either hood shocks or rear hatch shocks from an XJ as well, to hold the cover opened when needed. To open the cover, all I would have to do is open the tailgate, pull the cover out a little bit, and open it up. I should also be able to slide it back in while it's opened as well. And if I ever wanted to remove it completely, it would be as easy as just pulling it all the way out. :clapping:
  23. Essentially, just screw the roof rack rails into the top inside of the bed and slide the main supports for the cross bars into them. By doing so, it gives you a tie-down location that is at the top of the bed, and can be adjusted to fit the current hauling needs. EDIT: The cross bar support can be seen in Geonovast's first pic.
  24. The sno-cone factory up the road blew up, and that's all the debris that got scattered around. :fool:
  25. Cool idea , I'm borrowing that one for sure 8) Same here, but for a different application than to be used as tie down locations.
