looking for your Comanche literature
Jtslick89 replied to Pete M's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
My father in law pulled this tool box (I had it posted on my build thread). He claimed his father (my wife's grandfather) had an MJ back in the 80's and he took this toolbox off of it. Looking at the picture labeled 'L' above it certainly seems like a factory toolbox which is cool -

center console mods - 3d printer ideas
Jtslick89 replied to schardein's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Would love cupholder(s) in the center console area, great idea! -
Still some bubbles from rust, did my best to sand and fill and sand but just did a rush job for now. May redo in the future with a bigger budget.

replaced my rusted/dented OEM bumper with the Westin Fey black diamond one. Next step: remove the rust bubbles and rough sand the tailgate, prime it, and paint in black. Add red 'JEEP' letters to tailgate and reattach 4.0 Litre emblem from previous OEM tailgate
-
Just did mine with the Westin Fey and the mounting set. Came out great! Just be prepared for some rusty/crusty bolts and have 2 breaker bars if you're in the Northeast and/or rust belt

I am in NJ and drive all over the state for work, obviously there's others in NJ but I can say I have NEVER seen another one with my eyes in my life. Only on CL, bringatrailer, or CC.

LOL

Was trying to cheer up some of my neighbors and their children. We are on lockdown here in NJ, but I managed to make a flagpole and try to build everyone's spirits up. The neighborhood loves the MJ, so why not add some patriotism 🇺🇸

that's what I told the guy on FB and he swears it is, well I'm glad I'm not crazy, thanks boys

Looks different than this one which says it is also OEM, both sellers claim they're OEM but they don't look alike

Someone correct me lol

Ok sway bar link end fixed and we're up a running again with a nice used tailgate from @MeanLemons, good guy, and a new tailgate handle from @Warren Mohler. Coming along! I want to spray it black and add the lower grey Eliminator trim back on, maybe do the 'Jeep' in red on the black tailgate and obviously add the 4.0 litre emblem back on
-
Anyone know where I can find the following decal for the tailgate? I bought a used tailgate and it doesn't have that trim piece which matches the rest of my body

believe it or not, on a website in German (country of Austria) and they shipped to USA before this whole COVID-19 situation

Anyone willing to part with one? PM a price. I managed to stumble across a NOS driver side, but can't seem to get lucky with the passenger side.

Front Sway Bar Link Ends

And yes I realize the bolt isn't being shown in this picture, my current situation is rusted/seized -
How tight should the bolt be? I know the other one should be tight enough that the bushings below out a little bit
