True, I actually came across a factory tool box for the bed. It was from my father in laws Comanche in the late 80s, he never threw it out all these years
-
Wasn't on the build sheet, but I guess that doesn't cover everything or accessories?
-
Yeah that was my plan, thanks. I am unsure about the plow/setup. The guy I bought it from said he bought it with the plow too and never too the setup off. It is a Western 6.5 feet. I have the blade too, but have no interest in it. My father in law who helped me take it off thought it might be OEM

thanks, I was wondering what/where they came from

Headliner I used SMS and installed it (it was very easy with the instructions provided, I still need to get the sun visors reupholstered and installed) Sound proofing from Noico (bought on Amazon) B Pillar Bulbs http://www.onewaylight.com/mj-jeep-commanche-b-pillar-leds-direct-replacement-2-pack-1wl-10l2/ Rearview Mirror/Front License Plate Mount (required in NJ) don't even remember where I bought it but wasn't hard to find OEM Wheels www.wheelcollision.com NOS Center Caps @eaglescout526 - the one, the only. Owe you big time man, thanks again! Plow Setup I'm not gonna lie. This was harder than I thought. Had to remove some really tough/rusty bolts and remove the mounting from the sway bar and disconnect all the electrical

I have some pictures of the dents, rust, etc... I will need some body work this coming Spring/Summer

Hey guys, I acquired this MJ on Long Island in early January 2020. I looked at a good half dozen in NJ/NY/PA, but this was the best bang for the buck and one of the cleanest MJs I came across in the area. It did have body rust, but luckily the frame and floors were in good shape (rare for the northeast, I know). Named it Puddy, because I'm a big NJ Devils fan and if there are any Seinfeld fans out there, you'll know why Puddy makes sense as a name. I drove it home approx 60 miles to my house in NJ, but haven't driven it much since. The problems it has/had -no headliner present - no rearview mirror - B Pillar Lights didn't work -body dents -cat back exhaust -body rust -missing piece of trim/moulding -I didn't want a plow/plow setup -rear bumper rust/dent -tailgate rusty and difficult to open -non OEM wheels / no center caps

Manche’nopoulos ‘90 Eliminator Shortbed
Jtslick89 replied to Manche’nopoulos's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
I have a '90 Eliminator in 4x4 so they definitely started before 91/92 making 4x4 Eliminators Nice truck! -

-
-The 1988-1991 Eliminators came with the 10 hole w/ rivets (beads, whatever you want to call them) -1992 Eliminators come with the SAME 10 hole wheels however they lacked the beads/rivets (see the post above mine, that's the 1992 Eliminator wheel) http://www.wheelcollision.com/store/JEEP-COMANCHE.htm

Wowzer! Ok, well thank you, I guess I'll settle for eBay or nothing
-
What are we talking? Haha I do see some on eBay but they are in different states of 'used' for like $20 a pop

Hey All, Looking for center caps for my 1990 Eliminator. I am getting the 10-hole Eliminator wheels with the rivets, but they do not come with center caps.

Received my new headliner from SMS. There is no old headliner (just completely missing). Anyways, long story short, I noticed that the A pillar trim on the drivers side is broken in the 2 torx screw areas (where the little circle hole cover is). Any recommendations on how to get the trim tighter since this broken area will be loose if i can't? Larger/longer bolt that sticks out and get rid of the decorative cover? Any other ideas?

Hey all, Not sure if this was posted. I am almost sure it has been, but I just had a good experience with One Way Light LLC. http://www.onewaylight.com/mj-jeep-commanche-b-pillar-leds-direct-replacement-2-pack-1wl-10l2/ Great replacement bulbs for my B-pillar lights. If anyone needs them, I highly recommend this seller.

Power Steering Reservoir/Oil fill Cap
Jtslick89 replied to Jtslick89's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Ok yeah I gave it my all with gloves, I'll try something else tomorrow. I have a 1990 4.0L -
Anyone have a power steering cap that is stuck? I want to open obviously, but scared to break it. Any tips? I'm a newb, sorry. Also, second question, just changed the oil and realized my oil fill cap is missing a rubber gasket and has a loose fit. Can anyone direct me to a replacement oil fill cap and/or gasket? Thanks!

Eliminator roll bar question
Jtslick89 replied to Jtslick89's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Thanks -
My 1990 does not have a roll bar with it, which I figured was sold or just lost over the years. I looked in the bed and wheel wells and there are no signs of brackets/holes/bolts ever being there. Did ALL eliminators have a stock roll bar (as a sporty trim model) or it was optional? Because I see no evidence of it ever existing on this one. Just curious.

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated!
-
Thank you! Yeah I was confused because I didn't think there was an overhead console available. Interesting that they included an area to add in the future but didn't offer it stock.
-
Yeah just saw it was the same company, thanks, all the interior pieces came on the truck, was just missing the headliner and whatever fits between the visors like you said
