  3. Need the bracket that is on the transmission tunnel, that holds the other side of the bar on the trans case shifter. My whole swap is for naught without it. case is from a 99 Cherokee, in an 88 Comanche.
  4. I installed the trans and transfer case from a 99 Cherokee into my 88 Comanche. All is good, except one thing. On the transfer case shifter linkage, it looks like there was a bracket for the pivot bar to go in, that was on the transmission tunnel of the donor Jeep.I never sw it though. Does anyone know a source for these, or have a diagram so I can fab it? It is triangle shaped, with bolt holes in the top, a larger hole to hold the bar in the bottom, and the top half inch would be angled.
  5. I am going 4wd. It's in the shop now. I will probably just look for XJ seats, although one model of Wrangler came with some pretty sweet tan and green seats. Those would be ideal.
  6. I am having the AX15 and 231 put in to my Comanche as we speak. I put the axle in my self.
  7. I guess I was looking for something I could bolt in, but I will search around. Anyone use anything that definitely doesn't fit? I would like to avoid buying anything that won't even stuff in.
  8. Ideally I am going to find buckets out of a Cherokee, but if some leather ones from a Grand Cherokee came across, I would snag them up. But I was wondering about seats from a different vehicle. I can fab something up if I have to, anyone have a pic of the seat brackets? We have a Subaru Legacy in our scrap yard and the seats sure do look comfy.

    Battlefield 3

I don't see a thread on here for the game, saw one for 2, but come on. I am AppearedTrash05. Let's game.
  10. :peek: Must be slow lately.....
  11. It's a 99. I hope you're wrong. Why? the NV3550 is just as good as an ax15 More headaches. :wall: Picked up the AX-15, 231, Dana 30 and the front drive shaft. That's what I asked for. They ended up adding the external slave, the bell housing, an additional diagonal cross member, and the rear drive shaft. The hose looked like a b*@$£ to get out, so I went looking and found one that looks the same from a YJ that was smashed to SMITHEREENS. In fact that hose was probably the only good thing left on the YJ. He asked for $600 for it all, I took my whole paycheck, extra cash, and $160 I got from scrap that morning (a GM 14 bolt and a GM 10 bolt, a NP208, a Dana 300, and some odd pieces of metal) and after all that I only had $580. He let me slide, I told him I would give him the $20 next time I was up. I plan on going there again for some bucket seats for the Manche, and in the spring, a set of Dana 44's. After all this, then I will look at getting a front and rear beefy bumpers, and a winch. I would like to set my truck up to pull people out of ditches in the winters here. Easy money. (I know about blah blah liability, I will inform them at the time that what happens happens, I'll even print up a release) This is all with no lift, and maybe one will go on in the spring with the 44's.
  12. Yes, the AMC one is rocking. not so sure on the other one...
  13. Posting to keep track of this thread. Currently putting an AX15, 231 and a Dana 30 in my 2wd Manche.
  14. I like the paint scheme, but the new Jeeps suck.
  15. It's a 99. I hope you're wrong.
  16. I leaned back and it allllllll came into focus. Neato. :jump:
  17. Chocolate milk.
  18. I have disconnected the steering, shocks and springs, brake calipers, and the upper control arms. All I have left are the lowers and the old 2wd TUBE will be off the truck.
  19. Not to get off-topic, but... If you grab that wiper/fog light switch panel and the driver's window/lock switch panel I'll pay for them and shipping to me. Those tweeter panels in the doors would be neat-o too. lol OK
  20. So what will I need to condition the axle to run correctly? I see the drivers side hub is missing, I will order 2 of those so they are both fresh, looks like a drivers side axle shaft, brake disks, pads and calipers. What should I be looking for as far as seals and gaskets?
  21. Picked up an AX15, NP231, front drive shaft and front Dana 30 axle out of a 99 Cherokee at the junk yard today. I plan on making my Manche from 2X to 4X4 for winter, instead of buying a beater. Any issues? Small things I am going to run into? I also got the coil springs, upper and lower stock control arms, shifters, linkages, and wiper motor. I think it will go smoothly, but I want to bring the axle to a ring and pinion shop and have them condition it before it gets installed. Pics of the donor axle in the next post.
