    Moving To Tn

And I am extremely happy to be there. It is very nice country up here in NY, but some of the people are too damn dumb to take care of themselves, and there is the constant attack on my rights. I am ok with going slower. At work I am balls to the wall and I know that'll have to change. What do I have to do to get a pistol for my home? I read the law as permit to carry, but you may go purchase one for home or range. Long guns I imagine you can walk out the door with them that day. The first monday we are there we will get our drivers licence changed, and plates for 2 Jeeps. After that can I head to Ammunation?

How fast does your rig go? :rotf: Says you are about 50 miles from me. I will be up your way, I hear a lot of good pick and pulls up that way. I plan on buying and selling Cherokee and Comanche parts when I get set up.

    Moving To Tn

I have lived in NY all my life, except for a year in NYC, 4 in the Corps, and a year in Philly. Finally had enough, gun laws passing were enough to start the move. We have our house packed and rented, and a place rented in Athens TN. We will be driving down on the 28th. I plan to set up a garage to wrench in, I think it would be cool to put some heads together and iron out some collective Manche issues!
  4. Well 1st, stop doing what you're doing.
  5. Welp, now I see that. Like I said, just needed a quick answer while I was brainstorming at work, guess I will hold off right now. My wife would kill me if I tore the entire truck down. I did find a new JY, new to me anyway, they have quite a few XJ's, and I am headed back there in a few minutes. I need to grab a driver side window regulator.
  6. Found a nice dash and door panels at a local yard, are the mounting locations the same for both year dashes? I have an 88 MJ, the dash and doors will be coming from a 98 Cherokee. The gauges include the speed and a tach. I will search some later, I have to work now. Thanks.
  7. In a few I am going down to a buddy's shop and attempt to install the Novak Cable shifter. I will have to drop the tranny a few inches to get it installed. i will take pics and add commentary. Be back soon! http://www.novak-adapt.com/catalog/shifters/sk2xc.htm
  8. I don't think it'll sound like a ricer, maybe at 6K RPM, but not in your daily driving. Sick beast drone going on. Lol
  9. Does it matter? :MJ 1: It'll still be beast.
  10. The regulator. The actual mechanism inside the door that holds the gears. Let me know if you have one!
  11. lunchtime bump
  12. going to bed bump
  13. bump for still needing one
  14. Just fine. Swear to god, anything like this seems to be 'not so bad' here. 10 miles north of south, catastrophe. Not here. It was windy with light constant rain, although I went out at 2 am it it wasn't even really raining. Just kind of water blowing around. I am in Chat. Co, south of Buffalo. Some houses are without power, news says like 950 people. A buddy said the scanner was blowing up last night though. Lights flickered once or twice, but not enough to turn the Xbox or TV off. Power was on this morning.
  15. I am looking for a drivers side manual window crank for my 88 Comanche. Shoot me a PM or send me an email to wescrapitall@gmail.com If it works I will buy it
  16. I only need one. 50% tread OK. I am in SW NY, I am looking locally as well. I will delete if I find one. I will drive up to an hour or 2 away. Thanks! Where are you, oh tire?
  17. I have mine, it's OD Green, and I am in Jamestown NY. There is another one, it's brown, probobly has the I6, it's 2wd, Looks to be on OK SHape. I saw one in Erie PA awhile ago, it was black, Also, saw a silver one in NJ a LONG time ago.
  18. I already have a Comanche, so I'd take the Ferrari too.

    Bring a trailer!

  21. http://bringatrailer.com/2012/06/21/arc ... oad-racer/ Looks pretty clean!
  22. Took my Comanche to the garage to see if they could cure the death wobble. They called me back with a laundry list of parts. All new steering components, new ball joints, new sway bar links, new sway bar, new stabilizer shock, with install, and shipping, came to grand total of $1,360. Long story short, I can't pay that right now. Cam anyone tell me why steering component used on 2,884,172 vehicles are special order from the factory, and cost 25% more than aftermarket? So anyway, I will rock it till the wheels fall off, then throw Dana 44's under the Manche. I am not going to buy all that for a Dana 30 just to do it again for a 44 in the future. CURSE THE PARTS INDUSTRY!!!
  23. I paid $250 to have the AX-15/231 installed, and I didn't know the mechanic. He did it right, you have to get a pilot bearing from a 79 CJ7, I think. I have to install the 4wd shifter and it'll be good to go. Used a Dana 30 front axle, and everything was out of a 99 Cherokee.
  24. This is a Jeep board. Why would you assume that ANYONE here might know the product code for some Toyota engine? "N/A" is the acronym for "Not Applicable" or "Not Available." How can a version that is not available come in anything? Sorry, but you're still not making a lot of sense here ... I knew EXACTLY what it was. And I'm still wiping up the keyboard. 1000 whp Manche? @#$% YEAH :wrench: Seriously? N/A is naturally aspirated, i.e. NO FORCED INDUCTION.
  25. U joints are easy, but a shop will only charge $30-40 for install.
