Sway bar mounts
Car Enthusiast replied to Car Enthusiast's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Or is that stock bar links just bolted to the front end It's a 2wd -
Is there a part number or place to get stock size lower sway bar mounts? The ones that go on the axle? Previous owner put an aftermarket sway bar on there and it is too big for the stock sway bar end links to go back on

Finally got the 88 on the ground after dealing with a local powder coater who was a mess. Going to get an alignment and see if they can do anything to get the rear lowered another two inches, and then get some shocks for it.

What Do You Say to "You should Sell the Jeeps"
Car Enthusiast replied to Drahcir495's topic in The Pub
If I had more space I would buy all the MJs around me to keep them safe from crushers. I wouldn't register or insure them just take care of them and keep them from rusting. I wouldn't even drive them, just the current stuff I have. Maybe you can do that if you have a place to park them out of the way? I will say though after daily driving my fun vehicles for so long that it is nice to have a newer dependable vehicle that I can just drive to work on those evenings that I don't finish a project in time or my XJ transfer case broke on me in the middle of DC about 10 hours from home. -

Some advice on engine replacement / upgrade

Has anyone been able to get a hold of OGResearch lately? My wife ordered me a roll pan back in May, was told it would most likely be done in the middle of July. I have reached out through the email from the transaction which is the same on the website and then I messaged on Facebook, which was read, but no one has communicated back yet. Trying to get an idea when it will be done.

Harmonic balancer replacement
Car Enthusiast replied to Car Enthusiast's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have been shredding belts lately and after looking at it and not finding anything wrong with anything up top I looked at the harmonic balancer and the rubber is seperating from the inner and outer part causing the belt to be misaligned. -

Are there any tricks for replacing the harmonic balancer on my 88 4.0 without taking the front end and radiator off? The rubber on mine separated.

Where were you able to pull the thickness of the washers from? I have the same picture but didn't see any extra information. -

I found the broke piece if any one needs one. Pedal shaft bushing Crown part number J3225981 The nylon washer shouldn't be an issue finding a replacement -
Does anyone know the terminology for the plastic washers for the clutch pedal where the master connects to it?, and where to find new ones if they still make them? Might just have to go rogue and find something that will work, but mine are all worn out after I replaced the master cylinder.
