Dude. That's Nasty. Seriously though, any new thoughts or outlook?
-
The C#*@ confused you Jim. Yup, just came outta nowhere... er... left field.

Already saw it. Skipped it, because it "appeared" to be a 4Cyl, unless you heard otherwise (which I may/may not believe according to what you said about owner), or don't mind that it's a 4cyl, and the damaged front fibreglass clip. You can probably deal with the title, but it's always annoying to have added hassle, especially if the prior mentioned things are issues. I have a running driving XJ... it was 4x4, m/t, i6. 4inch lift. Got it for $500 b/c of title issues. Used it for my comanche conversion --> Lift + 4x4... if there are title issues it's worth scrap to me. That XJ still drives, it's just a 2wd with no title... in my mother's garage... 45 minutes away from where I live... I'm sure it annoys the $#!& out of her... Title Story>

Nah, not commenting on you ability to use the weapons by any means... just the fear instilled by simply cocking the gun, it may simply be more entertaining.

Decent: in Boise. Overpriced. 170K. Looks clean though. His OBO better be very negotiable, but maybe I'm just naive to Boise pricing... meh. http://boise.craigslist.org/cto/2492966118.html But the real question... what's on the passenger side of that Jeep?
-
Ahh, supply and demand... when I've got free time like today I'll keep an eye out for ya in your area. Edit: Wow, all I gotta say is F*** Ozzy's... seriously that was a hardcore spamfest on the Boise CL.

That would be interesting, as that's the only original painted area on the truck. (Lower half of bed) And they look like OEM decals, but that's not to say that they weren't dealer install custom or the like... Well I suppose they could be made. Just for reference it's a '91.

This one... The sticker... When I eventually do a repaint, I want the set of 2. But all I can find are the huge decal/stripe kits... is this something I will need to have made or does anyone carry any New Old Stock on these? Just Curious... Thanks guys...

I've used LKQ for a used AW-4 w/ 60K miles for $200, they offer a 6 month warranty. They hoard the good used parts, and sell them for a slight mark up. :dunno: Bid-ness. Still a good deal, as they deliver for free... *if you can provide a business address.* However, I'm having trouble with them and your zip... one comes up inventory # 400-02335, 1991 M/T, 4x4, I6, Tranny. But I can't locate it... Meh... This is simply a heads up, perhaps nothing, but maybe you will have better luck... EDIT: Nevermind, it looks like their prices have gone up and their new locator service sucks... so toss them out, sorry.

Yeah, there was a great one out there. Got my grill for my front end conversion. Went back the next week when I had cash for the fenders and the whole jeep was gone. It seems decent stuff gets stripped quick, so it's usually just the old crap lying around. So I wouldn't hold my breath on the Comanche, but if I happen to be there before you I'll inform you of condition. What parts are you looking for in particular?

Keep in mind I got my girlfriend's 99' with 105K, 4x4, inline 6, one owner, for $3100 with all the records off CL (~1 year ago and they're not getting newer). But there are people asking way toooooo much. $4000 should get you something with under 120K, 4x4 if you want it, with NO issues, and a straight body. Just my 2c.

I am very skimpy on my security system. 12 gauge shotgun, .41 Ruger Magnum and a 1927 Thompson, fully functional. Good luck, I quit shooting when, if, you can reach the street. If you C#*@ the shotgun there's a 99.9% chance you'll never pull the trigger if they are within earshot. Besides then you get a show and less mess. Edit: So C#*@ is censored, eh? Sweet deal. :shake: However, I really like the look of that roll bar. It'll look great with matching black bed liner. I would definitely hold on to the drop in BL though just because of what it is. Albeit, it does take up space.

It's definitely got the look of a temperature sender. I just extended my Intake Air Temp Wiring to my CAI and it looks a lot like that. Very similar plug with two wires. I seriously would not be surprised if it wasn't some sort of ambient temp sensor plug. But in vehicles equipped with said sensor, where was it located?

Did they put the manual trannys in the CRDs? (It would make sense to me if they did) I know they stopped offering them all together after the first year of the current generation Liberety. Anyway, whats the transmission status on this particular CRD you acquired? M/T or Auto? All CRDs came with an auto. That part about making sense should have told you that DC -wouldn't- do something like that. :D Meh, it would seem to me a "foreign" marketed, or European to U.S. market car moreover, would have been offered with a standard transmission. But... Daimler failed on many, many levels, especially in regards to Chrysler. So, I'm not surprised.

Better yet, use Verizon Truck. Use Verizon like uniform. If inspection leads to nothing or is too dangerous... MAKE A SCENE. You now have the ability to smear the company image to hearts content... at least to your neighbors... or the ones that don't recognize you... in a 'Verizon like' uniform... with a frickin' lift truck. On a side note. Verizon Fios is fast... I have it. I like it. But it $#!&s daily at 3pm every day for 5 to 10 minutes when the temperature strikes 105*... Who do I blame? It also fails any other time it damn well pleases. Solution: un plug big @$$ box on wall. Listen to ungodly battery scream. Smack battery till it falls out and unplug. Wait.... Wait. Still Wait. Plug in. Wait. Pray. er sum-thin. Wait. Mail me said uniform when done? And frickin' lift truck? :brows: I got PayPal.

Must I go to Pick-n-Pull and look at a 4x4 Comanche that's got a straighter body, better interior, and complete tailgate, tail light, bumper assembly that all look better than mine. (Not that mine are bad, but these were pristine.) Except... my Comanche happened to be in the parking lot. That's all. I should of given heads up sooner, but this was last week when I was buying parts for my Furd. I cried a little. Inside, of course. Pick-n-Pull in South Dallas... dunno if there are many other Comanche Clubbers in the DFW area, perhaps that's why it was intact still.

Yeah, me too. But I am sure we would both rather be the "juvenile owner" then deal with someone else's crap. Been there before. I like stock. Very stock. I'll keep looking anyway, like you said, just to ensure you don't miss anything. But if you're like me when you happen to be in the market, you don't miss much. I seem to get consumed by the thought of any new toy.

Not at the moment, but I'll keep an eye out. Nothing that really jumps out as killer deal at this second. Lot's of high mileage, autos, and chipped stuff... but here's some CL stuff in your area. Might be out of price range...: 2002, 110K http://madison.craigslist.org/cto/2499551784.html Looked very promising @ 90K and $13, but it was chipped, yadda, yadda, meh :ack: http://madison.craigslist.org/cto/2523004715.html Then I realized Madison was quite far from Harvard, and why CL directed me there when low search results occurred in Rockford, is a curiosity of it's own. But I'll keep an eye out for you, hopefully, a more relevant one at that. But if I find anything worth mentioning, I'll just PM it as to not clog up the Cummins thread, if that's Kosher with ya...
-
So by dealer, you are referring to new car dealer with used cars and not a used car lot? That makes sense, and I'd probably be more comfortable with than your standard bubba lot. As always, if you have the time the right one will come along, but if you rush it you run the risk of ending up with something that isn't quite up to snuff. Am I correct in assuming your looking in Harvard Illinois? 4X4, M/T, Cummins, etc.
-
Well, I suppose that's just more insight into people.
-
Is that a respray, or a garage kept truck with an extremely anal owner... the latter being my guess judging from the paperwork? I know I could never bring my self to ever buy another car from a used car lot...but definitely the best of luck to you.

As far as fogs, I like Hellas. I run them with an open H3 housing, so I can choose bulbs. You can also find Amber H3 bulbs if that's your cup of tea as well. Amber lights are legal, your Comanche already has plenty of them stock. Where I live there is no problem with fogs/ambers, even on at night. But depending on local law they may want a cover if there are sticklish LEOs.

My AX15... it's a lie. All these years... it's been a myth.
