  1. Was not aware. I was on the fence with #3, didn't have my hopes up about it though lol. I image it wouldn't be hard to swap 35 to 44, should i find one with an xj donor. what about 35 front?
  2. The rear in it looks too small to me to be a 44, I havent run any numbers off it yet to confirm but everyone at the dealership swears its a 44. I think its a 35 tbh.
  3. Ideas suggestions? Currently has the 2wd straight axle under her, d44 rear I believe. Noticed a ton of slop on the front hubs/bearings, only a matter of time... Thinking of doing a 4x4 swap. I have a 44front pass drop, and a 12bolt rear out of some Chevy from late 70s I believe, both have manual locking hubs and Detroit lockers but need some attention, cleaning, new bearings, the thought did cross my mind to just fix those and throw them at the comanche, but, that would curve me away from trying to keep her closer to stock and lead me down the dirty path on her. Lol Should I just XJ swap? What should I consider?
  4. Is that stress fracturing I see? or paint damage from grip on a wrench/vice? lol
  5. imo, it should have the same torque value as the others because if they are torqued different it would offset the mating face and cause a leak. could be wrong, but that's how i'd do it on my aircraft and my jeep Someone with more knowledge confirm?
  6. What's the factory ac suppose to look like? Ran into that as a question on my unit, couldn't tell offhand.
  7. 8/27 Midnight 7lb 6oz 18"
  8. Fixed blower motor again... Yay air movement!
  9. replaced alternator....
  10. Just saw that thread lol. Glad I was a source of inspiration! haha
  11. I went with the 96" one too, I shoved mine backwards along the uniframe with the plumbing lines for fuel/brakes. zip ties.
  12. Eh. Good to know it's common at least... well I know my actual speed is the low end of my jitter so I k ow where I am anyways lol. "Make it work"
  13. Ran it to work today. Works! Under 40 it jitters quite a bit. Like... sitting at 30mph it jumps 30-34 like it has cerebral palsy. Once its 42+ it calms down Thoughts? As I continue to lol Side note I need to buy an alternator now.... hah
  14. looks good How many coats do you plan on doing?
  15. Just remembered the most important thing I did today! Rewired the horn! I can honk at idiots again! Edit. Oh yeah brake lights work again too.
  16. Por-15 Everywhere.....
  17. Yeah, tried pulling trans side off too. Found out that was dumb after looking at speedo side again, it has a limit stop nut or something so it can't go backwards past a point which is probably why it doesn't sit right on the speedo. Cut 1/4 off and locked right on as described.
  18. So there's nothing in threw way. But this is ad fat in as it will go... I've decided that I'm just gonna cut the difference off.
  19. Good to know. Mason jar it is...
  20. Yes I saw thank you. There was on trans side but I already removed that. Gonna check guage now...
  21. To top coat...? Or not to top coat...? Recently gave up on floorboards. The rust ate through my etching primer so I por15'd the whole thing. Read on the can it should be top coated to protect the life of por15 from UV etc..etc... Anyone have comments or problems with por15 in direct sun?
  22. Site says 96" which I believe. I have more cable length than I know what to do with on this thing...
