  1. Passenger side was the only one equipped on my truck. Had a drivers side at one point possibly but don't know for sure.
  2. No dilly dally here.
  3. Believe it or not. Kinda a funny story. I was talkin with my girl saying how I want an AMC vehicle. I taught her the history and she found my truck and the AMC Jeeps attractive. So we searched one day both here and in WA where she resides for school and stumbled upon a gentleman who was down sizing his fleet so he could move back to LA. He had it since 85 and bought it from his dentist who had it since new when he lived in LA. Guy took care of it and did all general maintenance and did a few upgrades such as AC and 4wheel drive, according to the small build sheet I got when I looked it up. So I told her what to look for and ask about. Guy said it lived its life in California until moving to WA sometime in the 00’s wasn’t daily driven but has minimal rust in the typical floor pan spot which is fine. It’s in great shape for an 84. So it sits in WA until I can bring it home. His name is Chunk. My girl is a huge fan of the goonies and since the goonies came out in 85 and has a Cherokee in the opening scene, it’s only appropriate. Pete I will do a build thread on it once I get to working on it. Also I got the package today 500. Thank ya!

  5. Both AMC 4.0L and 2.5L are pretty reliable engines and will last well into 300k without a rebuild. If it was well maintained.
  6. The lights Fiat posted might require some slight sanding and cutting of the B-pillar slot for the light. Paint to match unless you like them black
  7. Good. Our first catch of the day.
  8. Yup!! 1984 XJ 2.5L AC 5speed 4x4 in Col red. I....do need the pics. It is not here with me in AZ. I will get some hopefully today.
  9. How many awards?
  10. Did you do cruisers test on the CPS? I have a Renix CPS in mine that's doin pretty good for being 30. Maybe check your coolant and see if it boils or comes out brown. I always heard the overflow boiling when I shut the truck off. Wish I had pics of how the H.G. failed. Maybe I might.
  11. Could be good. Like I said, I couldn't figure out the issue for a whole year until I decided to address the 30 year old H.G.
  12. I can look at my AMC TBI manual and see what its purpose is if its in there.
  13. I approve of how accurate that is.
  14. 1984 Specific.
  15. That would be cool. Close.
  16. Oh hush you know what it is. Lol. What’s bad is I actually don’t have any pics of said project....yet.
  17. I would give those a test. How’s the coolant situation? Brown? I had a blown head gasket that did the same as your symptoms. She would run and start fine until open loop mode and couldn’t figure out why. Brown coolant was the only sign until the head gasket got worse to where she would bog down and stall.
  18. I WISH!! It would be awesome to have an AMC Eagle. Would be fitting too. I should hunt one down. But close!
  19. If anyone can find and locate what this part number is here in my possession, I think you can guess what my next project is.
  20. I have seen that hole on mine. I think it has to do with flowing more gas into the engine. Don't quote me on that, just a guess.

  22. Guess its a good thing that style was used until 96. PS 3 left as NOS if the gauge really did go south.
  23. With or without its still the same Chrysler number.
  24. Yes. Should be some screws holding it in place. You could always apply 12V to it and see what it reads.
  25. Tis a Renix mystery.
