Yea they work very well. One of my friends told me about them and I’ve been using them for a little while with no real issues -

I can get the parts to make another one if you want one -
I just think it’s cool how many different emblems there are for jeeps and others. Someday I’ll figure out a way to display all these either in a case or on my wall but for now I just like finding them and looking at them. These are just the Jeep ones but I have a drawer of other ones too

I’ve been driving the truck a good bit and recently had to fix a steering intermediate shaft issue. I swapped in a tilt column from an 87 a little while ago and the intermediate shaft I had was too short and all the ones I could find were too short. I ended up getting a 83-86 shaft that has two plastic pins that keep it from collapsing and drilling out those pins. I then made it the correct length and drilled and tapped the shaft for two set screws to hold it all together -
This is the best picture I have right now but I can go take another one. It’s a fixed mirror with good glass and in good shape over all. I also have a pair of fixed mirror as well just like this one

Yea they are both good. I may go back and cut them out in the fall when it’s not as hot and there are less bugs 😂
-
I pretty much got everything that was good other than the bedliner and rear fender flares. Some of the interior panels were good but they are big and hard to store and I could barely give them away last time I pulled red ones. Both had no rear axles or tailgates. I got the rubber bumpers that were still good. The parking brakes were rusted solid on both and all the seat brackets were junk

This place was a jungle and most of the cars were buried under bushes but they did have two comanches and a ton of xjs. I tried to get the Comanches vins for the registry but they were pretty much unreadable. The grey truck was a 91-92 sportruck and the red was an 86 Long bed with some cool options like a chrome rear bumper and cargo light

I used an automotive seam sealer when I did the floors in my truck since It was close to what the factory used. This is the one I used

Yea I haven’t even checked the mpg on it😂 it’s about 100 smiles per gallon so that’s what counts -

I got the dash back together the other day and mounted the sniper efi display. I’ve been driving the truck quite a bit and it runs and drives really well. It’s hopefully getting painted in the next few weeks -
I forgot to take pics of the drivers side but it was pretty nice as well. The motor blew up and that sent it to the yard
-
It’s not a factory comanche roll bar. I think it’s a Toyota one that someone put in it since it’s identical to another Toyota one that’s in that yard
-
I grabbed the tailgate, some interior parts and the back window which was pretty much all that was good on it. I need to back and get the rear bumper since it was kinda straight or at least better than mine
-
The bed did have a small dent in the bottom of the drivers side and a lot of holes in the bed rails but it was overall pretty clean
-
I think they wanted $300 for the bed which isn’t too bad but I have no clue if it’s even still there. I was there about two months ago but I’m just now getting around to posting the trucks I’ve found in the registry or at least the ones I remembered to get vins for

This is my 1988 comanche pioneer. It was originally a 4.0, ba10/5 2wd but now it has a 350 vortec truck motor and th350 trans.
-
Hopefully I got the vin right but I think I did. This truck was at sunshine auto parts in orangeburg, SC. There was not much left after I was there other than the interior parts and the bed. It seemed to be a pretty highly optioned truck. Most of these pics are as the truck was when I found it and all the parts I pulled are in the one picture

This is a junkyard truck I found a while back that I’ve been robbing some parts off of. I’m kinda guessing on the year since I can’t open the drivers door. It got dropped off the loader in the yard

Yea this is the first 84 I’ve ever seen in a junkyard. I’ve seen 86s and one other 85 but no other 84s. It was pretty cool to see for sure
