I have a set if you still need some
-
I honestly see them pretty often between Charleston and Clemson. I know of a few on the road in both places and a few sitting around. I’ve also pulled parts from almost 20 of them in the past two years. They are getting harder to find though and even xjs are starting to pop up In the yards less often

So a few years ago one of my friends rolled his 99 4 door Cherokee. A guy who had a 2wd comanche bought it for $800 to use it for a 4wd swap. Instead of 97+ swapping the Comanche or just swapping axles he decided to make the thing pictured below. He cut the bed off the Comanche and cut the xj behind the back doors. Then he sheet metal screwed it all together but never really finished it as far as I knew. Today I was checking out a new yard and sure enough I found the remains of his project rusting away. It looks like he swapped out the damaged parts for ones from a white xj and took the axles out of it before it ended up in the yard

I got my new fan and shroud on today as well as the front bumper. Hopefully that will solve my minimal air flow across the radiator problem for good. The bumper also looks much better than my beat up original -

It’s been a little while since I’ve done anything to my truck other than use it to haul things around. I pulled the bumper off yesterday to replace it with a new one and install the front skid plate I got. I also redid my lower radiator support with some tubing I found in our shop. I got the tow hooks on today and trimmed the air dam so they would fit but I need to get a few more of the nut clips that hold the bumper on before I can install it. The bumper is brand new and was $50 shipped to my door. The tow hooks came from a guy on Facebook and the skid cane from a 4wd shop in the upstate. It looks much better up there and I also am going to install a fan shroud and bigger fan this week after the truck got a little hot sitting in traffic -

The two plugs (male and female) plug in between the factory Jeep mj taillight wiring harness. Then I solder in a flat 4 trailer wiring plug so you can plug in trailer lights. If you’d like me to make a custom one for you that uses the newer 9 pin connector for trailer brakes then I can. You’d just have to run a couple of the wires to your brake controller -

These harnesses plug into the factory rear taillight wiring connector and allow you to plug in trailer wiring without hacking up the factory harness -

I have one more ready to go in a flat rate box and I have parts to make 5 more I think -
This is a junkyard truck I found about a year ago but I went back today and got the VIN. The yard it’s at is more of a full service yard and he is very expensive. I’m kinda guessing on the year but I think it’s an 87. It’s a column shift auto 2wd 4.0. I’ve grabbed most of the good parts off of it already

I have a tan one for sale from an xj but it can be used in a comanche with a slight modification

I went back yesterday to get those bezels however I got there and they were both missing chunks so I didn’t grab them. I see them on occasion so I’ll keep an eye out for more

I just got the parts to make 9 more of these so I’ll be working on them this week. I have enough trailer harnesses to make 14 but I need to get more Cadillac connectors from another junkyard -
I’ll go back there this week and grab them since I need to go get a few other things too
