When are we all going to LKQ? I could do anytime friday til 4 or 5, and just about all day sunday

You might get more responses/opinions if you move this to the MJ Tech or Pub. In my opinion it depends on what you'll be using your Jeep for, if it's going to be for offroading, rock-crawling, etc, the bedliner could protect against scratches and whatnot (I think Rhino lining the whole Jeep could add a decent amount of weight too, but I'm not positive :dunno: ) but if it's just a DD, I'd go with a regular paint job. Just my two cents

what style VC do you want? the '96+? I have two of them, complete with PCV elbows. $10. That'd be great, I'll take one!

What day are we all planning on going? I don't have a list of what to get tho, other that a newer style VC

You work at the RDC? Angela's brother hauls for them, and always parks there instead of leaving... He's in a Red Roehl truck. I should tell him to look for your MJ. Or just head over by the gates... Switched shifts at the RDC, so any weekend works for me. When are you guys free over the next few weeks? It'd be good to meet more of you guys in person :cheers:

All that happened in my crash (not more than 10 mph) was the header panel cracked pretty bad and my left fender got a little beat up. The rear passenger door on the VW had a pretty big dent in the rear passenger door tho. Betcha mine was cheaper to fix, gotta' love Jeeps! There's a lot more of 'em at the pick-n-pulls than newer VW's The goal tho is NOT to get in an accident tho... :oops:

I can do anything before Oct. 7th (aside from this saturday) but after that I'm working full-time weekends, great for money and having a full-time job, not so great for being able to make it to meet 'n greets

Ya, my Bonneville had a heads up display, but it was this tiny thing at the bottom left corner of the windshield, didn't really do you much good cuz the speedo was off on the HUD. So this one's much better-- I know, it's Pontiac not a Jeep, I hadn't seen the light at that point :rotfl2:

Mine does that too, the reflection is dead center on my windshield so I can always tell what time it is at night without taking my eyes off the road, lol

So far the shop's found that the injector o-rings are shot, and the fuel pressure is 1/3 of what it should be... I just had a new pump put in a couple months ago so I'm wonderin if there's blockage somewhere, maybe the filter's just full of 22 years of junk, lol. Waiting to find out what else they might've found, I'm ready to have my 'Manche back :thumbsup:

I'm hoping it's something like that, and I just missed it cuz I'm always around it, need a fresh set of eyes to check it over. Jerry's lookin over it on monday (he's one of the best and most reliable mechanics I know) so I'll find out what's wrong with it in a couple days then start planning everything out. I'll probly wind up doing the HO and ax-15 swap either way so I'll be sure to save all the sensors and harness for ya when I swap it out :cheers:

Well, so much for making some progress on the Jeep. The engine died on me 3 times today in the span of 5 minutes, idles for a lil bit then dies, won't even stay running long enough to get in gear to move it :fs1: I'm sidelining it for now and getting another car so I can actually put some time into fixing it and not rush myself and mess something up. The past few months my engine's been giving me trouble so I'm thinking about an HO and ax-15 swap (might as well since the engine's already gonna' be out :cheers: ) and getting rid of the engine I currently have in it altogether.

Sorry it took so long to get back to ya. The bedliner was warped real bad so it got tossed, sorry man, that's actually the reason I got the spray on bedliner.

Time to resurrect this post and start on the actual build! I'm going to Florida this week so nothin' new's gonna' happen to the MJ, BUT I get paid the week I get back, which means I'm gonna' finally get my lift ordered from hellcreek!!!! (after a year...) Just found out my neighbor has a complete set-up for painting vehicles and is really good at it (used to do it for a living I guess) so my MJ should have a fresh paint job by late fall!! :D Also thinking about a 97+ fender/header panel swap, seeing as the fenders are all sorts of jacked up (never ordering replacement fenders again, next time I'm going to lkq or route 14, absolutely nothing lined up with mine :fs1: ) I came across this duplicolor "bed armor" with kevlar the other day (http://www.duplicolor.com/products/bedArmor/) think I might give it a shot, with the rebate it's about the same price as Herculiner :dunno: any thoughts?
