  1. I am having trouble finding a replacement for one of my a/c hoses. In my search I have learned that their were two air conditioning packages offered. Either your jeep came from the factory with factory air conditioning or it didn't and you had the option to add air from the dealership. The dealership installed air conditioning package was called american air. I have the american air package installed. I am looking for the smaller hose that goes from the evaporator/expansion valve to the receiver dryer. The oem part number is 83504359. Seems like I can find replacement hoses for everything but that part number I need and none of the pictures look like what I have. Was wondering if anyone has run into this before or has anyone replaced their a/c hoses and what part numbers did they use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. My heater core is leaking and I plan on removing my dash to replace the core and fix some electrical issues. I also plan on repainting the floor pan and doing alot of interior work. If I remove the dash will the truck still start and be drivable for me to move it in and out of the garage so I can work on it as I get the time or am I stuck where ever I tear it apart?
  3. Well thanks to all for helping me identify what has been swapped. I think the first order of business now that I have researched a little more is to swap the tranny. I am headed to some of the local junk yards this weekend to see what I can find. I would also like to thank everyone for the warm welcome.
  4. I purchased the truck about two weeks ago on a whim. It runs great and I don't have any complaints other than I am new to the Jeep world and I am very unfamiliar with what the truck is equipped with. I tried to decode the VIN and did alot of research online but I figured that I would ask the pro's. I would basically like to know if you guys can tell me what is original and what has been swapped out? What tranny, transfer case, and axles do I have? Has the interior been swapped out? I contacted Chrysler about the VIN and I have a build sheet. It says that the truck was 2wd. Who ever owned it before me has done 2wd to 4wd conversion. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
