  1. i looked at it. with the position of the wheel well end of the mounting, i don't believe it will fit well.
  2. long bed roll bar. doesnt have to be a manche. just fits.
  3. how much fer the gate? :brows:
  4. that might explain my junk high acceleration? 4th/5th gear is usually pretty turtle getting to speed, and I'm a volunteer firefighter, i need speed!
  5. Other then getting off the lame concept of vacuums, whats the advantage of the CAD fix? and doesnt this lock it in Fulltime 4wd?
  6. i think I might wait to pull the carpet right now, since I think thats whats hanging underneath by the frame... lol.... i'll wait until I have some sheet metal for the repair. Any suggestions on what kind and size to get for a repair of the floor pan?
  7. Yup, I'd definitely make sure the basic package is sound, before doing any "optional" things like a lift kit, bumpers, etc. Rust is a BIG issue, rotten floor pans, leaking clutch master cylinder, leaky valve cover/blowby into the airbox, etc. I'd also recommend disabling the vacuum operated 4wd gizmo on the front axle, and locking the CAD. That way, the lever in the cab will work more effectively in getting it into and out of 4wd. It's fairly easy to do, don't need any parts, and if I could do it in less than 30 minutes, just about anyone should be able to do it, lol! Yep, caught the blowby and workin on fixing it... Planning to pull the carpet (caught that.. lol) anyway and sheet metal, i had an old wrangler that was a flintstone car. Whats the 4wd vacuum thing and where is the leaking clutch?
  8. metric ton pkg... 30x9.5s BFG AT KOs are already on it... custom bumper... on the block for a trade with my roof rack... :)

yeah, but i didnt think the 300s fit in the XJ/MJ stuff....
  10. I picked up this bugger of an 87 4.0 BA10... I already have parts lying around for spring to do a exhaust to tip replacement (painted, sealed, wrapped...) and a couple other pet projects, but are there any other 'must have' mods to do to an MJ?
  11. After mine? Cut the brackets, fab some new.
  12. if they do work, and they will accept a bucket seat, i will take em.
  13. i just don't have the vises, and tools to do all the work needed to follow that walkthrough. Plus, reading through it again, you still need the MJ brackets, which mine are quite rusty and flimsy.
  14. yeah the seat to floor bracket.
  15. Will the bolts line up for an XJ's seat bracket in an MJ? My mj's bracket is rusted all out, was thinking of just using some scrap metal to fill the gaps, and lengthen the bolts of necessary.
  16. need some mj seat brackets. will pay for shipping. mine are possibly too rusted up. Will also take suggestions on how to mount a XJ bracket in the MJ place. (spacers?)
  17. You know, up here in Michigander, i might just take the stock hose neck thing in the air box and run it to a cowl mounted intake, I'm too weary about suckin in a snowball with it... or mud... or water... or salt... silly michigan!
  18. does the console just fir right in? or is their massive triming?
  19. :hijack: Can one swap out the AX-4, 5, 15 or whatever with a BA10? just in case my pukegut takes a dump, i wonder if it's fairly swappable or is it massive amount of changing of parts. bell housing is a given.
  20. Something seems demonic about a 1 ton dually MJ....

a dana 300 will fit in a MJ?
  23. i run fire lights, whats the highest load the wiring can handle? Will it take a powermaster's 190A?
  24. bump. I'm quite interested in this modification. Mayhaps we should do a group buy?
  25. Thats where I was thinking for mine. But I am waiting on word if I got a toolbox lined up. My neighbor had to downgrade because of his 5th wheel. He might still have the bigger one floating around somewhere.
