  1. Looking good getting something done  I got my AMC V8 engine bought Mike
  2. Yep you got it I could sell amsoil products but I can't sell them. People these days aren't worried about oil changes as much as there next meal or that last tank of gas. Now that being said, I see plenty of high end jobs here making the big income so why the interest in these cheap little trucks ? A good portion of you could be collecting n restoring things in the 25,000 to 75,000 dollar value range. So why ya messing with 1500 dollar trucks ? Mike
  3. you get anything done yet ? :hmm: ? Them holes won't grow shut ya know :rotfl2: :rotf:  Mike
  4. All these MJ Member's around my area yet nobody has seen my truck in person nor have i seen anybody elses :hmm: :hmm: tho in the last few days 3 other MJ's popped out of no where around my side of town 2 of which were for sale :hmm: 1 long bed in gray primer. 1 long bed in red paint. 1 short bed in white paint topper. all 4 of us bombing around the same local area Madison/Monona area . . . tho my MJ runs me to Sun Prairie n back 5 days a week . . . :dunno: Mike
  5. SB-2 was my favorite SB-1 was awesome , now SB-3 was a fair out there flop . . . lets not forget the spin off TV sitcom "bandit" that came out in the mid to late 90's . . . Mike
  6. Cool thing about our boss man is he gets down and dirty right with us all But we got some nice equipment so i'm sure that's costing a pretty penny . . . we get brand new trimmers every year new push mowers every other year and new lawn mowers every 3 year's . . . The pickup truck's get swapped out every 6 years and the Dump trucks every 8 years. Aint so bad considering the pickup trucks (F350/K3500's) cost about $50,000 the little tipper's (Sterling/Ram 5500 4x4's) are about $75,000 and the big tipper's (Frieghtliner FL70's) are about $100,000 . . . Not sure what the 5 mowers 3 pusher's a dozen trimmers cost but they don't seem cheap . . . he's got plenty of over head that for sure . . . The mow trailers are enclosed the land scape trailers are nice 2 tandem axle's 1 triaxle trailer and 3 skid loaders and 1 mini loader and a tool cat . . .tons of attachments . . . everything has 2way radio's . . . We the employees get: cell phone reimbursement's $50/mo toward your plan or free phone if its on his plan. health insurance of which he pays 75% we pay 25%. time and half for snow removal work. lunch time is paid, some time if he is around he'll even buy lunch as well as pay ya for it. But wages aren't as good as i would like to see $10-$12/hr for summer & $15-$18/hr for winter, Which i guess ain't the worst . . . . the other guys get there $300/wk unemployment which i do NOT receive cause I have an AMSOIL dealer tag so there for i "have the ability to make income" as they claim . . . Mike
  7. Well good for you man you prolly own the company. I'm just part of a crew of 8 those above listed things are what I do myself there is 7 others doing about the same thing we got large volumes of work getting done . . . I thinks its funny that our crew of 8 get more done in a day then most with a crew of 15 or so do . . . anywho i like my cheap heap of a jeep nothing wrong with being poor  Mike
  8. Yep that's what I do 5 days a week April to November for the last 3 summers . . . I forgot the spring n fall clean ups but that's nothing special. Mike
  9. Lawn care, Land scape and Snow removal sounds simple right ? :rotfl2:  Now here is what i end up doing: Run a string trimmer 8-12hours a day if i'm lucky i mow 0-4 hours a day. Run a skid loader loading dump truck then driving said dump truck unloading it and doing all over again. Run a hand operated land scape rack, spreading Rock bark dirty . . . Run shovels spade flat scoop snow. Run snow blowers & loaders with blowers n plows. check all fluid levels and filters. change all fluids n filters. Fix or assist in fixing what ever is broken. Wash clean polish wax work truck's mowers trailers ect. But my reward for all of this work, well i get to barely survive, forced to sell my K2500 to cover winters bills tho i won't miss the truck any stupid 6.5 diesels . . . Oh and i get to drive a 22 year old Compact Jeep pickup truck with almost 200K miles on it complete with rust dents and holes . . . nothings flapping yet tho  Mike
  10. AMC-150 I4 /AX-4 / D35 with 3.73's :ack: to  AMC-290 V8 / AX-15 / AMC-20 with 4.10's  Rust repair and coat of paint reconfiguring the interior then shazzam :clapping: Check out the build thread in my Sig and watch it transform  The K2500 is being sold off the MJ is being revived and repowered and it shall continue to be my daily driver as its been since Nov 09' Mike
  11. so will the GC Spring/Shock combo interchange with my 2WD MJ Spring/Shock combo ? Mike
  12. My truck is a short bed yes, Yes i know he has only LWB bedsides, i'm not ordering any bed sides from him, i was listing the MJ parts he has . . . I'll be fabbing up Cab corners and bed wheel wells myself it seems  Mike
  13. Rockers floors and bed sides . . . He dose NOT have Cab corners . . . i already asked him when i got a price quote for the other parts i'll be ordering from him . . . Mike
  14. I'm not buying another truck not an option  1 Comanche is more then plenty for me i'm not ADDICTED like some and need 1 of every model year SWB/LWB 2WD 4WD ect . . . Thanks Mike
  15. Ok i'm told that Comanche Cab corner's are not available this true ? Any tips n tricks for creating a set ? or Do i have to get some sheet steal and create my own ? Mike
  16. Ill just get the panels. Mike
  17. All I need to repair is the top side of the rubber flare the 45s on around all solid metal yet. Just so it all makes sence to me . . . XJ/MJ front wheel wells are the same ? But XJ/MJ rear wheel wells are different ? I need fenders as well mine are dented Tis why I asked about the XJ to MJ fender interchange . . . Mike
  18. both my front fenders are rest free, to bad they are dented and have to be replaced . . . Now if i replace my fenders with XJ fenders won't the front wheel wells be smaller as well ? . . . I was going to use my fenders for the box repair . . . So i'll have to get actual MJ fenders then ? :fs1: Mike
  19. I did fix the 2 holes that was hiding under the carpet  :wall: But i only repaired the 2 rust holes :fs1: due to time but i will be ripping that up and replacing the whole floor  So i'll definitely be buying all of the cab repair parts listed on this new site . . . :clapping:  Mike
  20. That would be sweet cause that's the part I need, shockingly this truck has light rust. On the outside of the bed. The part where its say jeep on the front end has a few little holes other wise the front clip is rust free but its banged up ! Both fenders are bent at in front of and right behind the wheel flares on both sides. The cab how ever just completely rotted floor cab corners rockers . . . . the floor i patched, but i'll be ripping the whole floor out and ordering the complete replacement floor along with the rest of the cab parts . . . I want the truck nice looking, solid and strong  Must be the design of the truck ? Cab out rots the rest of it ? after the repower i'll have to much new stuff into the truck not to finish it off right  Mike
  21. If i had major damage done to my box i would buy the panels and cut them to fit no worries, i may still do so . . . If my fender patch idea doesn't look as nice as i want . . . I was more or less fishin for a discount cause i'm poor :help: Mike
  22. Yup 2 cuts the are long and have to be dead on ! So I would have to take them in to be cut which is extra $ ! Now for short quick cut I could simple make a patch panel from one of my dented front fenders n be Cash money ahead with the same looking finished product ! Mike
  23. I has to look Nice, truck is getting a completely rebuilt drive train upgrade along with an AMC V-8 engine It'll also be getting complete paint job and under coating might even splurge for a bed liner spray :D  Trucks a lifer  it aint going anyplace  Mike
  24. Yea they have panels for LONG BED trucks useless to me i have a SHORT BED truck :fs1: all i really need to do is push out where truck was whacked and patch the left side right above the tire 4 small holes rotted through . . . If i'm going to hack and chop it, then i would rather not cobble the whole side just replace the wheel with a patch cut out of a front fender or rear 1/4 . . . Not have 2 large seems down the side of the truck . . . Mike
